Poreč was the epicenter of beauty, style, and tourism promotion for Croatia last weekend. In the lavish and elegant ambiance of the Grand Hotel Palazzo, located right by the sea, the spectacular finale of the Jana Nails Miss and Mister Tourism Croatia for 2025 was held. In front of numerous guests from public, fashion, and social life, the new ambassadors who will represent the beauties of our country on the world stage were crowned. The titles of the most beautiful were taken by Katarina Golec from Bjelovar and Luka Skočilić from Pula, two young people who, besides their external beauty, also possess impressive résumés and a charisma that captivates at first sight.

An evening filled with glamour and anticipation confirmed that this competition is not just a beauty contest, but a platform that celebrates the fusion of attractiveness, intelligence, and dedication to promoting Croatian tourism. The event itself, held in one of the most prestigious hotels in Poreč, a city that is itself a gem of tourism, attracted significant media attention and set high standards for future events.

The New Mister Tourism: A World-Class Model with Two Degrees

The title of Mister Tourism Croatia for 2025 was deservedly won by 31-year-old Luka Skočilić from Pula. His stage presence left a strong impression on the jury and the audience, but Luka is much more than a cover face. He is a professional model with an exceptionally rich international career, who has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the world's fashion scene. His portfolio includes shows and campaigns for giants such as Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Moschino, and Dsquared2, which has put his name on the map of global fashion. Check out his professional engagement in the photo available via this link.

What further sets Luka apart is his education. He graduated from the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka and then from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Zagreb, thus demonstrating versatility and intellectual curiosity. The combination of academic knowledge and experience from the world's fashion runways makes him an ideal representative of a modern, educated, and successful Croatian man. His victory is no surprise to those who follow his work, and the title of Mister Tourism is just a confirmation of his qualities and potential to promote Croatia in the best possible way.

Miss Tourism: An Inspiring Wellness Fitness Champion

The new Miss Tourism Croatia is 24-year-old Katarina Golec, a charming woman from Bjelovar who currently lives and works in Zagreb. Katarina won over the audience and the jury with her incredible energy, sportsmanship, and impeccable physical form. She is a well-known and recognized wellness fitness champion, whose lifestyle, dedication to training, and healthy diet serve as an inspiration to thousands of followers on social media. Her discipline, perseverance, and positive attitude towards life are reflected in her every move.

Katarina is not just a pretty face; she is a symbol of a healthy life and proof that top results can be achieved through hard work and discipline. Her role as an ambassador for Croatian tourism will be focused not only on promoting natural beauties but also on promoting the active holiday and wellness offerings that Croatia, and especially destinations like Poreč, are increasingly developing. You can see her dedication and fantastic form in the photo shared on her Instagram profile. With the passing of the crown, her chapter of proudly wearing the sash of the most beautiful has begun.

Crown Transfer and a Vision for the Future

The ceremonial moment of the evening was the handover of the sashes and crowns. Last year's winners, Monika Vojvodić from Zadar and Matej Maričak from Zagreb, proudly passed on the titles to their successors, wishing them a successful year filled with travel and promotion of their homeland. Their engagement over the past twelve months has laid a solid foundation on which Katarina and Luka will build their activities.

Nikolina Poropat, the national director of the pageant and the director of Miss and Mister Tourism World for Europe, did not hide her satisfaction with the outcome. "We are extremely proud of this year's finalists and winners who have shown not only beauty and elegance, but also character, attitude, and dedication. Miss and Mister Tourism are not just titles – they are roles of ambassadors for our country on the world stage. They are the spokespersons for our culture, history, and hospitality. We look forward to their future successes and promotion on the world stage," stated Poropat, emphasizing the deeper meaning of this prestigious competition. The winners will, in fact, represent Croatia at the world pageant, and information about the date and location is expected soon.

Awards for Other Finalists of the Evening

In addition to the main titles, a series of other awards were given to talented finalists who stood out for their qualities. The sash of the first runner-up for Mister Tourism was won by Niki Vranić (28) from Pula, known to the general public as a finalist of the popular show Survivor. Niki, who is a physiotherapist by profession and a passionate lover of an active life, confirmed with his attitude and appearance why he was one of the favorites. The first runner-up for Miss was declared Dora Rojković (21) from Zagreb, a talented young makeup artist and model whose time is yet to come.

The titles of second runners-up were won by Boris Blagojević and Monika Klobučar, who also left a great impression. Milan Kovačević and Barbara Krnica were declared the most photogenic contestants, whose faces and energy communicate particularly well through the camera lens. Finally, Ninon Dejanović and Ana Granić won the most sympathy from their colleagues, receiving the titles of Mister and Miss Congeniality, proving that friendliness and a positive spirit are highly valued virtues.

Partner Support and Glamorous Organization

The success of such a large and demanding project would not be possible without the support of numerous sponsors and partners. The main sponsor, the famous Croatian brand Jana Nails, once again showed its commitment to beauty and quality. The event was also supported by the Medivia Center for Health and Beauty of the Medikol Polyclinic, a synonym for top-quality healthcare, and Zigante tartufi, who brought a touch of Istrian luxury to the glamorous dinner. The flawless appearance of the contestants was ensured by Niko Lukić Hairsaloon, Freedom Concept Store with elegant clothing combinations, LB Tuxedo for men's elegance, and JN Medical Group. The entire organization in Poreč, a city made for enjoyment, was at the highest level.

Through a program filled with musical numbers and fashion appearances, the audience was skillfully guided by the proven and charming hosting duo – singer Bojan Jambrošić and radio host Manuela Svorcan. Their relaxed nature and professionalism further contributed to the wonderful atmosphere that will be remembered for a long time.

Tourism desk

Our Travel Desk was born out of a long-standing passion for travel, discovering new places, and serious journalism. Behind every article stand people who have been living tourism for decades – as travelers, tourism workers, guides, hosts, editors, and reporters. For more than thirty years, destinations, seasonal trends, infrastructure development, changes in travelers’ habits, and everything that turns a trip into an experience – and not just a ticket and an accommodation reservation – have been closely followed. These experiences are transformed into articles conceived as a companion to the reader: honest, informed, and always on the traveler’s side.

At the Travel Desk, we write from the perspective of someone who has truly walked the cobblestones of old towns, taken local buses, waited for the ferry in peak season, and searched for a hidden café in a small alley far from the postcards. Every destination is observed from multiple angles – how travelers experience it, what the locals say about it, what stories are hidden in museums and monuments, but also what the real quality of accommodation, beaches, transport links, and amenities is. Instead of generic descriptions, the focus is on concrete advice, real impressions, and details that are hard to find in official brochures.

Special attention is given to conversations with restaurateurs, private accommodation hosts, local guides, tourism workers, and people who make a living from travelers, as well as those who are only just trying to develop lesser-known destinations. Through such conversations, stories arise that do not show only the most famous attractions but also the rhythm of everyday life, habits, local cuisine, customs, and small rituals that make every place unique. The Travel Desk strives to record this layer of reality and convey it in articles that connect facts with emotion.

The content does not stop at classic travelogues. It also covers topics such as sustainable tourism, off-season travel, safety on the road, responsible behavior towards the local community and nature, as well as practical aspects like public transport, prices, recommended neighborhoods to stay in, and getting your bearings on the ground. Every article goes through a phase of research, fact-checking, and editing to ensure that the information is accurate, clear, and applicable in real situations – from a short weekend trip to a longer stay in a country or city.

The goal of the Travel Desk is that, after reading an article, the reader feels as if they have spoken to someone who has already been there, tried everything, and is now honestly sharing what is worth seeing, what to skip, and where those moments are hidden that turn a trip into a memory. That is why every new story is built slowly and carefully, with respect for the place it is about and for the people who will choose their next destination based on these words.
