Extraordinary events at sea under the jurisdiction of port authorities were recorded last night and during the night.

PA Dubrovnik / Collision of a fishing boat with a passenger ship at the Gruž port
A maritime accident occurred on July 11 around 21:30 when a fishing boat struck the passenger ship at berth in the Gruž port. The report of the accident was received by the Port Authority Dubrovnik shortly after the incident, and officials immediately went to the scene and determined that there were no injuries or sea pollution. Preliminary investigation found that the fishing boat, due to an unknown technical failure, struck the starboard side of the passenger ship, which was moored without passengers and crew. The fishing boat is owned by a local company, with five crew members on board, while the passenger ship is owned by Jadrolinija d.o.o. and operates on the fast-ferry line 9811S Dubrovnik - Korčula - Hvar - Bol - Split. The line was temporarily interrupted due to the situation, but will be resumed today with a replacement catamaran from Split departing at 15:30.

PA Rijeka / Two injured due to boat hitting the shore on the island of Krk
Two crew members were injured after the boat hit the shore of the Peškera bay, near Voz on the island of Krk. The report was received on July 11 at 23:03 through the County Call Center ŽC112. From MRCC Rijeka, emergency medical staff from Krk were sent to the scene, who took over the two injured Croatian citizens and transported them to the Rijeka University Hospital. No sea pollution was observed at the scene, and the boat is moored and secured until it can be freed and towed. Investigative actions regarding the causes of the accident continue under the jurisdiction of the Port Authority Rijeka.

PA Šibenik / MEDEVAC of a child from a boat near the island of Kaprije
Officials from the Port Authority Šibenik carried out an urgent medical transport of a child with health issues from a boat in the Mrtovac bay, on the island of Kaprije, to Šibenik. The request for urgent medical transport was sent from the boat to MRCC Rijeka on July 12 at 01:40, after which PA Šibenik was immediately notified. In cooperation with the Šibenik emergency medical service, port authority officials arrived at the scene and transported the patient to Šibenik, where the medical staff took over the patient.
