Legal Rules

Terms of Use

By accessing and using the portal you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the portal.

1. Definitions

Portal means the electronic publication Karlobag.eu (ISSN 3043-839X), available at the domain karlobag.eu. Service provider is CroDodo, owned by Domagoj Skledar, Vilima Korajca 5, Zagreb, Croatia, Tax ID 67680955120. User is any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the portal.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the portal you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these terms in full, as well as the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. If you do not accept this relationship in full, you must not use the portal.

3. Portal Content and Copyright

All texts, photographs, graphics, logos and other content on the portal are protected by copyright in favour of the service provider, unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g. photographs licensed from third-party sources). The name Karlobag.eu, the ISSN number and recognisable visual elements constitute trademarks of the service provider.

Downloading, copying, distributing or publishing the content of the portal is permitted only with prior written approval of the editorial office and with clear attribution and link to the source. Quotation for the purpose of criticism, reporting or scientific work is permitted in accordance with the provisions of the Croatian Copyright Act, with proper attribution.

4. Affiliate and Partner Platforms

The portal contains links to third-party websites, including affiliate links and sponsored content (tickets, accommodation, travel). If a user purchases a product or service through these links, the portal may earn a commission — at no additional cost to the user.

Prices, availability and purchase conditions on partner platforms (Viagogo, Stay22, Ticombo and others) are determined exclusively by those platforms and are subject to change without prior notice. The portal is not a contracting party nor an intermediary in the purchase; it assumes no responsibility for the content, policies, delivery or complaints of partner platforms. All obligations arise solely from the relationship between the user and the chosen partner platform.

5. Limitation of Liability

The portal's content is published with the diligence of a prudent business operator, but the service provider does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, timeliness or availability of the information. Informative and analytical articles do not constitute legal, medical, financial or professional advice — for decisions producing legal or material effects the user must always consult a qualified expert. The service provider excludes any liability for damage, lost profit or other losses arising from the use of the portal to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. User Conduct

The user undertakes to use the portal in accordance with the positive regulations of the Republic of Croatia, EU regulation and these terms. The following is prohibited: attempts at automated content scraping or crawling outside the permitted robots.txt scope, unauthorised access to protected areas, distribution of malicious code, sending unsolicited messages through the contact form, impersonation, and any action that harms the portal, other users or third parties.

7. Privacy and Cookies

Personal data processing and the use of cookies on the portal are described in detail in two separate documents: Privacy and Cookies.

8. Changes to the Terms

The service provider reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice. Amendments take effect upon publication on the portal. By continuing to use the portal after amendments, the user accepts the amended terms in full. The date of the last amendment is stated at the bottom of this page.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the substantive jurisdiction of the competent court in Zagreb, unless mandatory consumer protection rules establish a different jurisdiction. Users who are consumers within the meaning of EU law may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.

10. Contact

For any questions related to these terms please contact the editorial office via Contact page or by e-mail at karlobag@karlobag.eu.
