Police officers of the Zagreb Police Department have completed an extensive criminal investigation into a 31-year-old man, due to suspicion of committing criminal offenses related to the production and distribution of narcotics, as well as illegal possession of weapons. The investigation focused on the suspect's activities in various parts of Zagreb, including Medveščak and Maksimir, where it was discovered that he possessed large quantities of various types of drugs, including amphetamines, cocaine, and marijuana, which he was selling. The suspect also had ammunition that he possessed in violation of the law.

In the Medveščak area, police officers noticed suspicious behavior from the suspect, who, during an attempted escape, discarded a plastic bag with drugs. Examination of the contents of the bag revealed that it contained several types of drugs: amphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and marijuana resin. This incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 4, 2024. Additionally, during a search of the suspect's apartment and other premises in the Maksimir area, police found additional quantities of drugs, including marijuana packaged in jars and bags, amphetamine, cocaine, and MDMA tablets.

Also seized were 20 pieces of ammunition for automatic weapons, which further confirmed suspicions that the suspect was involved in illegal activities. Besides the drugs and ammunition, a significant amount of money was found, indicating the widespread nature of the criminal activities in which the suspect was involved. After the investigation concluded, the 31-year-old was brought before the competent authorities, and a criminal complaint was filed against him for multiple offenses.

The suspect used sophisticated methods for drug distribution, including repackaging and weighing substances before sale, thus avoiding detection of his activities. The police, in cooperation with other agencies, successfully halted these operations, and the suspect now faces serious legal consequences.
