Study trip of the Blago Zadro Command and Staff School students to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Split, including a visit to the Croatian Navy and the Guards Mechanized Brigade

Participants of the 32nd generation of the "Blago Zadro" command and staff school visited the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Croatian Navy and the Guards Mechanized Brigade. The trip included a tour of operational centers, cultural sites, and a veterans' memorial room.

Participants of the 32nd generation of the Integral Command and Staff Training of the Command and Staff School "Blago Zadro" visited the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 17 and 18, 2024.

Visit to the Operational Center and PSOTC
During the trip, the participants visited the Operational Center of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo and the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) in Butmir. There, they learned about the organization and work of these centers. The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Tomo Kolenda, welcomed the participants and introduced them to the center's work.

Visit to the 4th Infantry Brigade
The participants also visited the 4th Infantry Brigade in Čapljina where they learned about the structure and mission of the brigade. The visits included cultural and historical landmarks of the cities of Sarajevo and Čapljina. The visit to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded with a tour of the shrine in Međugorje.

Continuation of the study trip in Split
The study trip of the 32nd generation continued in Split with a visit to the Croatian Navy. The participants toured the ships of the Croatian Navy Fleet and the Coast Guard of the Republic of Croatia, where they were received by the Chief of Staff - Deputy Commander of the Croatian Navy, Captain Željko Jakus.

Remembering the fallen defenders
A candle was lit in the memorial room of the Croatian Navy Command in honor of the fallen defenders from the Homeland War.

End of the trip
At the end of the trip, the participants visited the Command of the Guard Mechanized Brigade and the Knin Fortress, rounding off their study trip.
