Valamar continues this season with the initiative "Easy as one, two, tree," within which guests can donate for the planting of new trees, and the company commits to planting one additional tree for each donated tree.
With this donation campaign, Valamar invites guests to reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to the preservation of forests in Croatia.
So far, over 12,000 trees have been planted through the "Easy as one, two, tree" initiative, and in 2024, Valamar plans to plant 10,000 new trees.

"Our guests are thrilled with this initiative, they eagerly participate in the campaign, and as a result, the outcomes are excellent.
Last year, we surpassed our goal of planting 9,000 new trees two months ahead of schedule, and this year we decided to increase the number of newly planted trees by one thousand.

In addition to reforesting Croatia and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, planting new trees reduces our carbon footprint with the aim of further decarbonizing our operations," said Tea Pestotnik Prebeg, Director of Quality and Sustainability at Valamar.

Valamar launched the "Easy as one, two, tree" initiative in collaboration with CO2MPENSATING BY PLANTING, an initiative of the Croatian Scout Association, Croatian Forests, and the HEARTH agency, which aims to enable companies, cities, and municipalities to neutralize their carbon footprint by planting trees.

Valamar takes care of more than 80,000 trees in its destinations, and through this donation campaign, the planting of new trees has been enabled, which in the past two years have been planted in the Split-Dalmatia and Karlovac counties.
This year's campaign can be joined by guests of Valamar hotels, resorts, and campsites in Poreč, Rabac, Makarska, Dubrovnik, and on the islands of Krk and Rab from July 15 to October 15, 2024.

Focus on sustainable tourism and socially responsible business with an emphasis on renewable green energy sources, waste management, locally produced food, and supply chain sustainability is a prerequisite for vacation tourism that is good for destinations, employees, guests, and local communities.
