The newly opened Iverpan business and production center in the Kukuljanovo industrial zone represents a key step forward in the economic development of the region. This center, worth three million euros, is the sixth in a series of Iverpan centers throughout Croatia and represents the first such sales and production facility in Kvarner. The opening of this center, which employs 16 new workers, gives additional momentum to the Bakar industrial zone, which is constantly developing, making Kukuljanovo one of the most important industrial centers in the country. It is important to note that the new infrastructure will create a foundation for even more jobs in the future, demonstrating the significance of this project for the local community.

Iverpan's new center spans as much as 1,700 square meters, encompassing production, storage of raw materials, office spaces, and a sales area. With the support of local authorities and cooperation with many partners, this center will contribute to the expansion of the company's business and provide additional opportunities for the region's residents. To better understand the broader context of this project, it is worth noting that the Bakar industrial zone in Kukuljanovo, where the Iverpan center is located, is one of the fastest-growing business zones in Croatia. Over the past few years, more than 47 investments have been launched in this area, and the construction of new economic facilities is underway, which should create another thousand jobs in the next few years.

Development of the Kukuljanovo industrial zone

The Bakar industrial zone is currently developing into the most important economic center in the wider area. The mayor of Bakar, Tomislav Klarić, presented data on significant investments made in the zone. In the last fifteen years alone, more than six hundred million kuna have been invested in development, which includes the construction of roads, energy tunnels, and new infrastructure to support investors. In this context, the Iverpan center represents just one of a series of projects contributing to the accelerated development of the zone. New business facilities are being built in the zone, and twelve new halls are currently being prepared for construction, which will open doors to new investments by the end of the year.

According to the plans of the City of Bakar, the goal is to provide even more land for investors, develop new roads, and further improve the infrastructure. Also, projects for the construction of sports and recreational facilities, including a hall with swimming pools, are in preparation, which will improve the quality of life for local residents as well as the attractiveness of the zone for future investors. This plan illustrates how dedicated the local community is to creating a favorable environment for economic development while also providing benefits to the region's residents.

Sustainable development and vision for the future

The opening of the Iverpan center in Kukuljanovo also represents an important step towards sustainability and innovation. Iverpan focuses on the use of sustainable materials such as organoids made by pressing natural materials like hay, rose petals, and coffee, as well as cork that absorbs CO2. This creates an environmentally conscious offer that meets the demands of modern customers who strive to furnish their homes in line with the principles of sustainable development. Director Mladen Jambrović emphasized that Iverpan has always been a leader in promoting sustainable practices and that this center aims to provide customers with access to the highest quality materials that are safe for the environment.

The Bakar industrial zone is one of the most important drivers of economic development for the entire region, and the opening of the Iverpan center greatly contributes to this goal. To support business expansion and enable new employment opportunities, the City of Bakar and its industrial zone continuously invest in infrastructure, buy land, and prepare plots for future investors. Thanks to this approach, the zone is expected to increase the number of employees by more than a thousand jobs in the next few years.

Impact on the local community

The opening of the Iverpan center has a significant impact on the local community not only in terms of employment but also through the expansion of the overall business climate in the region. By increasing the number of business entities and opening new jobs, a solid foundation for economic growth is being created, ultimately resulting in a better quality of life for all residents. New jobs open up opportunities for professional training and development, further increasing the attractiveness of this region as a place to live and work. Along with Iverpan, other companies such as Scania, InterEurope, and JGL have decided to invest in the zone, further contributing to the economic dynamics of Bakar.

The vision for the future of the Kukuljanovo industrial zone is based on continuous investment in quality infrastructure, attracting domestic and foreign investors, and creating conditions for sustainable economic growth. With the support of local authorities and constant investment in infrastructure, the Bakar industrial zone in Kukuljanovo continues to develop as a key economic center in Croatia. The opening of the Iverpan business and production center is just the beginning of an even larger trend that will continue to attract investors and create jobs, contributing to the long-term development of the local community.

At the center of our work is the effort to make the economy more accessible to people who want to know more but seek clear and reliable context. Every story we publish is part of a broader picture that connects markets, politics, investments, and everyday life. We write about the economy as it truly functions — through the decisions made by entrepreneurs, the moves taken by governments, and the challenges and opportunities felt by people at all levels of business. Our style has developed over the years through fieldwork, conversations with economic experts, and participation in projects that have shaped the modern business landscape.

An important aspect of our work is the ability to translate complex economic topics into text that allows readers to gain insight without overwhelming technical terminology. We do not oversimplify the content to the point of superficiality, but we shape it so that it is accessible to everyone who wants to understand what is happening behind market tickers and financial reports. In this way, we connect theory and practice, past experiences and future trends, to provide a whole that makes sense in the real world.

The editorial desk for economy and finance operates with a clear intention: to provide readers with reliable, thoroughly processed, and professionally prepared information that helps them understand everyday economic changes, whether related to global movements, local initiatives, or long-term economic processes. Writing about the economy for us is not just reporting news — it is continuous monitoring of a world that is constantly changing, with the desire to bring those changes closer to everyone who wants to follow them with greater confidence and knowledge.
