With the increase in the use of smart devices and the desire for digital innovations, it is important to ensure the security and accessibility of these technologies for all citizens. Furthermore, it is necessary to monitor the impact of these changes on society in order to ensure an inclusive and sustainable digital future.

Challenges and Opportunities

Despite the growing trend of digital payments, cash still plays an important role in daily transactions. About 67% of citizens still prefer cash payments, indicating the need for a balanced approach that takes into account different user preferences. At the same time, the growth of digital payments opens new opportunities for merchants and service providers to improve their businesses and adapt to new trends.

The digital transformation of payments in Croatia is in full swing. With the increasing use of smartphones and other digital devices, citizens are increasingly embracing new payment methods that offer convenience and efficiency. While traditional payment methods continue to hold their importance, trends indicate a growing integration of digital solutions into daily life. It is crucial to ensure that this transition is inclusive and that all citizens have access to secure and reliable digital services.
