The designer has been selected for the creation of the conceptual, main, and execution project that will enable the construction of a new underground garage in Klaićeva Street. This ambitious project envisions a three-level garage with a total of 800 parking spaces, which represents a significant contribution to solving the parking problem in the center of Zagreb.

Planned capacities of the new garage
The planned garage in Klaićeva Street will have three levels, and its construction will allow for 800 new parking spaces. This will provide additional parking capacity in the city center, which has long faced the problem of lack of space for vehicles. The new garage will be strategically located to allow easier access to key parts of Zagreb, reducing the need for parking in surface lots.

The mayor on the importance of the project
The Mayor of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomašević, expressed satisfaction that the project, which will have a significant impact on the city's infrastructure, is finally moving forward. "The construction of an underground garage in Klaićeva Street has long been recognized as a priority, and now we finally have the opportunity to realize this key investment. Increasing parking capacity in the very center of the city is essential for maintaining the functionality and accessibility of our urban space," said Tomašević.

Renovation and modernization of the sports field
In addition to the construction of the garage, the project also includes a thorough renovation of the sports field located above the planned garage. The installation of new sports facilities is planned, including those for athletic disciplines such as long jump and triple jump, as well as a circular athletic track. Also, spaces for team sports, such as handball, small football, and basketball, will be built. These facilities will enable the development of sports activities for all age groups and further enrich the offer for citizens.

Construction of new changing rooms and sanitary facilities
The project also includes the construction of new changing rooms with associated sanitary facilities and storage for sports equipment. These new facilities will provide users of the sports field with better conditions for practicing sports, while at the same time ensuring the necessary infrastructure for maintaining and storing sports equipment. All these changes will contribute to the improvement of sports infrastructure in the center of Zagreb, thereby improving the quality of life of the local population.

Deadlines and expected project completion
According to the plan, the preparation of project documentation should be completed within nine months. After that, construction work on the garage is expected to begin in the fall of 2025. This project represents just one of many investments that Zagreb plans to improve its infrastructure and raise the standard of living for its citizens to a higher level.
