Opera Confluence Avignon is a contemporary performance venue distinguished by its functional, modular architecture. Originally designed as a demountable theatre to maintain opera and stage programming during the renovation of the historic opera house, its timber structure gives the building a warm and distinctive character. In its original opera configuration, the auditorium offered around 950 numbered seats, with a stage designed to accommodate opera, theatre, dance, concerts and other live performances.
Inside, timber surfaces and acoustic elements are designed to control reverberation and provide clear transmission of voices, music and orchestral sound. The seating layout offers good views of the stage, while the venue's modular design allows the space to be adapted to different types of events. Additional facilities include a bar and snack area, giving visitors a place to spend time before or after a performance.
The venue is located at 2 Place de l'Europe, Avignon, France, directly opposite Avignon TGV railway station, with the entrance approximately a two-minute walk from the station building. Parking options are available beside the venue, with additional parking around the TGV station.
