Urania is a well-known congress and cultural venue in Berlin, combining a historic building with a later, more modern extension. Across approximately 2,800 m², it offers 11 multifunctional spaces for congresses, conferences, lectures, cultural programmes and other events. The largest is the Humboldt Hall with 866 seats, while the venue as a whole can accommodate events for up to 1,200 visitors.
The interior is designed for a wide range of event formats, from major stage programmes to smaller meetings and workshops. The Humboldt Hall features a Dolby Digital Surround sound system, a large projection screen, and dedicated lighting, film and projection technology, while the other rooms provide flexible seating and layout options. Visitors can also use spacious foyers and Café Urania, which serves drinks and light snacks.
The venue is located at An der Urania 17, Berlin, Germany. The An der Urania bus stop is immediately beside the complex, while Wittenbergplatz underground station is approximately 300 metres away. Drivers can access Urania's car park via Kleiststraße 13. For planning wider journeys around Berlin, further information about the city's transport network is available in the section below.
