Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck, also known as MuK, is a major concert and congress venue designed by architect Meinhard von Gerkan. The complex combines clear geometric architecture, a spacious foyer and a concert hall with a flexible seating configuration. The main hall accommodates up to approximately 1,990 visitors, making it suitable for symphonic concerts, popular music, stage productions and other large-scale events.
One of the venue's defining qualities is the acoustics of its concert hall, designed to support performances ranging from orchestral and chamber music to contemporary concert productions. Seating is arranged across the stalls and several levels, while the spacious foyer and supporting areas allow audiences to move comfortably before performances and during intervals.
