Sejong Cultural Center - Grand Theatre is the flagship auditorium of the Sejong Center complex and one of Seoul’s most important performing arts venues. Its monumental architecture presents a contemporary interpretation of traditional Korean design, while the 3,022-seat auditorium arranged across three levels accommodates opera, musicals, ballet, theatre productions and major concerts.
The hall features an advanced sound system and adaptable acoustic technology designed to distribute sound evenly throughout the auditorium. Audience screens can display subtitles and video content, while the wider cultural complex provides a ticket office, visitor information services and food and beverage facilities.
The venue is located at 175 Sejong-daero, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea, beside Gwanghwamun Square. The entrance is approximately 200 metres from exits 1 and 8 of Gwanghwamun Station on Line 5, with the Sejong Cultural Center bus stop also nearby. Drivers can use the complex’s public parking facility, while broader information about travelling around Seoul is provided further down the page.
