Teatro Aguascalientes is one of the most important cultural and performing arts venues in Aguascalientes. Designed by architect Abraham Zabludowsky, the modernist building is distinguished by its monumental entrance, strong geometric lines and spacious approach surrounded by landscaped grounds. With more than 1,500 seats, the auditorium is suitable for theatre productions, opera, ballet, concerts and other large-scale performances.
Inside, a key feature is the Italian-style stage with an acoustic shell, designed to accommodate a wide range of theatrical and musical productions. Seating is arranged across the stalls, an upper level and boxes, creating a traditional theatre experience with good views of the stage. A spacious foyer and extensive technical facilities further enhance comfort during major cultural events.
The theatre is located at Av. José María Chávez S/N, Jardines de la Asunción, Aguascalientes, Mexico. A broad forecourt leads visitors towards the main entrance, while on-site parking makes arrival convenient for those travelling by car.
