De Muziekgieterij is one of Maastricht’s distinctive live music venues, housed in the former industrial Timmerfabriek in the Sphinx Quarter. Its combination of historic industrial architecture and contemporary additions gives the venue a recognizable character, while two concert halls accommodate events of different scales. The Main Hall holds up to 1,100 visitors, including the balcony, while the smaller hall has a capacity of 420.
The interior is designed for concerts and other music events, with professional technical infrastructure, a foyer and bars. The two hall sizes allow for both the closer atmosphere of smaller shows and the energy of concerts attended by more than a thousand people, making De Muziekgieterij suitable for a wide range of artists and musical genres.
The visitor entrance is at Richie Backfireplein 10, Maastricht, Netherlands, at the rear of the Timmerfabriek complex. Sphinxterrein is the nearest car park and is only a few minutes away on foot, while the Boschstraat/Maagdendries bus stop is approximately a five-minute walk from the entrance.
