Doornroosje is a modern concert venue and one of Nijmegen’s leading destinations for live music. It occupies a contemporary mixed-use complex distinguished by its open, transparent ground level and direct connection to the city’s main station. Its two concert halls accommodate around 1,500 visitors in total: the larger Red Hall holds approximately 1,100 people, while the more intimate Purple Hall has space for about 400.
Carefully designed acoustics and separation between the halls support a varied programme of concerts and club nights. The Red Hall combines a spacious standing floor with a balcony, while the Purple Hall creates a closer connection between performers and the audience. Bars, a complimentary cloakroom and lockers are available, and the clearly arranged interior makes it easy to move through the venue before and after an event.
The venue is located at Stationsplein 11, Nijmegen, Netherlands, immediately beside the main entrance to Nijmegen’s railway and bus station. The entrance is a short walk from the platforms and bus stops, while drivers can use the nearby Keizer Karel car park.
