Auditorium at Kursaal Donostia is the main hall of the distinctive Kursaal complex, one of San Sebastián's architectural landmarks. Designed by Rafael Moneo, the complex consists of two large translucent-glass cubes conceived as rocks resting by the sea. The Auditorium accommodates around 1,806 visitors, while its scale and fully equipped stage make it suitable for concerts, opera and theatre performances, and other major cultural events.
The interior was designed with particular attention to exceptional acoustics and clear views of the stage. The venue features a stage of approximately 350 m², modern lighting, sound and projection systems, and technical facilities capable of supporting demanding productions. Comfortable seating and well-organised foyer areas help audiences move efficiently before and after events.
The venue is located at Zurriola Hiribidea 1, San Sebastián, Spain, directly beside the waterfront and the mouth of the Urumea River. Underground parking is connected with the complex by lifts and stairways, while local public transport stops are also available nearby. For broader information on reaching the area from other parts of the city, railway stations or the airport, see the San Sebastián guide below.
