Kaohsiung Arena is a major multipurpose indoor venue distinguished by its rounded architecture, which has earned it the local nickname “Big Egg.” Its 42-metre-high interior extends across six levels, while the stands can accommodate approximately 15,000 visitors. A flexible event configuration makes the arena suitable for large concerts, sporting competitions, entertainment productions, exhibitions and other high-capacity events.
The interior is designed for technically demanding productions. A large central electronic screen, a ceiling suspension system and live video broadcasting equipment improve visibility from different sections of the stands. The spacious hall creates an immersive atmosphere for concerts, while the stage, floor and seating layout can be adjusted for each production. Visitors should therefore consult the official seating plan for their selected event before purchasing tickets.
The arena is located at No. 757, Bo'ai 2nd Rd, Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, next to Hanshin Arena Shopping Plaza. The most convenient access to the entrance is through Kaohsiung Arena Station on the metro’s Red Line, using Exit 5. The venue does not operate its own car park, although parking is available within the neighbouring shopping complex, subject to current conditions and capacity. Further information about travelling between the arena and other parts of the city can be found in the Kaohsiung City guide below.
