After four years of thorough work on repairing earthquake damage and renovating the permanent exhibition, the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb has reopened its doors to the public. An investment worth 2 million euros enabled extensive renovation of the museum. On this occasion, representatives of the City of Zagreb, an envoy from the Minister of Culture and Media, and the director of the Archaeological Museum visited the museum.

The renovated building now has a total area of 5100 m² and has been upgraded to the 3rd seismic protection level. The estimated damage to the museum's collection amounted to 200,000 euros, and 178 damaged items have mostly been restored. The renovation funding was secured from multiple sources, including insurance policy, Solidarity Fund, the City of Zagreb, and donations.

Short News Editorial Office

The editorial team for current affairs operates as a shared space where experience, journalistic passion and curiosity come together every day to create content that aims to give readers what matters most – clear, verified and human information. This is a place where authors and volunteers gather, people who have been observing the world around us for more than three decades, from social changes and cultural movements to new trends in lifestyle, travel and global events.

Our work is not based on templates but on real experience and a genuine sense for storytelling. The editorial desk has grown from years spent in the field, talking to people, following events and exploring topics that shape everyday life. That is why we strive for storytelling that is not merely the transmission of information, but an effort to understand the context, background and human dimension of each topic. Every article passes through the hands of an author guided by a simple rule: we do not write to fill space, but to provide real value.

In our work, we rely on experience gained through years of journalistic practice, as well as on the curiosity that constantly drives us forward. Whether it is a social change, a festival, a travel report, an analysis of a current issue or an event that attracts public attention, we always try to maintain a human tone and balance. We write the way we ourselves would like to read – clearly, accurately and with respect for facts and for the reader.

As an editorial team, we believe that the modern information space requires responsibility and presence, but also warmth and understanding. In a time of fast news, it is especially important for us to offer content that is not just a fleeting echo of the moment, but a text that helps readers better understand the world around them. This is why we constantly return to the fundamental values of journalism: dialogue, research, verification and perseverance.

The editorial team for current affairs exists to give a voice to real stories and to the people who carry them. Every member of the desk brings their personal experience, and together we work with the idea that readers should receive what they deserve – reliable, contemporary and professionally crafted information, written with heart and knowledge, without haste and without automation.
