This year's summer in Čavle started with numerous events that encompassed various aspects of cultural and social life. Since July, visitors have been able to enjoy a variety of events, including concerts, exhibitions, sports races, and competitions.

This week brings the peak of summer activities, with a series of events as part of the "Bartoje" celebration, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, the patron saint of the Municipality of Čavle.

Painting and Wine - August 23
Friday, August 23, is reserved for one of the most popular events of this summer – "Painting and Wine." This event, which combines art and wine, attracts participants of all ages and different interests.
Participants will have the opportunity to paint a landscape while enjoying a glass of quality wine from local wineries Kapić and Pavlomir, regardless of their previous painting experience. After completion, everyone can take their work home, making this event not only fun but also creatively fulfilling.

St. Bartholomew's Day - August 24
Saturday, August 24, brings several key events. "The Sporting Face of Platak" will offer participants the opportunity to participate in various team sports, such as beach volleyball and small-sided football, with prior registration required.
This sports event promotes an active lifestyle and brings together all generations.

Gastronomy enthusiasts will not miss the "Bartojski Kotlić," the 14th goulash cooking competition held at Buffet Pomorac. Here, a panel of experts will judge dishes based on the taste of the stew, the tenderness of the meat, the taste of the meat, and the appearance of the dish.
The best kotlići will be awarded valuable prizes provided by Limarija Sebastijan. The evening will be accompanied by live music performed by Mauro Staraj and his group La Banda, and entry is free for all visitors.

The Vertical Face of Platak and Children's Party - August 25
On Sunday, August 25, Platak will once again be the center of sports activities with "The Vertical Face of Platak," which includes a trail race and MTB marathon.
Registration is open until the day of the race, and a large turnout of competitors is expected. Those who do not wish to participate in the race can come and support the competitors while enjoying the natural beauty of Platak.

For families with children, the Children's Bartoja Party will be held in the center of Čavle at the Croatian Veterans' Square, where the youngest will be able to participate in various workshops, face painting, and inflatable games.
The fun will culminate with the ceremonial announcement of the most successful athletes of the Municipality of Čavle at 7 p.m., followed by the Children's Neon Party at the House of Culture.
The evening will end with a concert by the popular group Vigor, who will entertain and delight all visitors with their hits. Entry is also free here.

Miss Business - August 30 and 31
The finale of this year's Bartoje will take place on August 30 and 31 at the Frankopan Castle of the Town of Grobnik, with a two-day event "Miss Business."
This event is dedicated to female entrepreneurship and includes a series of interactive workshops, a fashion show, and other activities that promote female leadership and networking.
