The D Business Leadership Summit will gather a number of top experts in Zagreb this year, including NASA psychologist specialized in space habitation, Stijn Thoolen.

This three-day event, which will be held from November 21 to 23, 2024, provides a unique opportunity for managers from various sectors to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The summit organizer, Siniša Drobnjak, is known for his expertise in personal and business transformation. According to him, the summit is designed to help participants step out of their comfort zones and gain new perspectives. This event, now in its fifth year, attracts an increasing number of participants from healthcare, sports, and technology sectors.

According to research by the Carnegie Institute of Technology, 85 percent of personal financial success is based on communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, while only 15 percent is a result of technical knowledge. This insight is crucial for the organization of the DBL Summit, which focuses on the development of “human engineering”.

“In the last 20 years, technology and social networks have significantly changed dentistry, turning it into a business where communication is as important as clinical skills. Most healthcare professionals often neglect their own needs, leading to feelings of unfulfillment and lack of purpose. Our summit brings together experts who selflessly share their experiences to help accelerate the development of non-clinical skills,” emphasizes Drobnjak.

Personal growth is possible only when we leave our comfort zone, as confirmed by summit participants who return in large numbers every year. Although initially conceived for dental medicine doctors, the DBL Summit now includes topics relevant to all healthcare managers. Particularly interesting is the lecture on family values by the brothers Jasper, Robbert, and Stijn Thoolen. As a space habitation psychologist, Stijn Thoolen explores the limits of human endurance for future Moon missions, and his lectures at universities like Harvard are highly valued.

The first day of the summit will be dedicated to clinical skills, featuring experts like Victor Clavijo and Edson da Silva, in collaboration with the Croatian Society of Aesthetic Dental Medicine. The following two days will focus on business skills and experiences of successful entrepreneurs, athletes, and consultants. Among them are swimmer Dina Levačić, business coach Pilar Cabral Majerović, crisis communication expert Krešimir Macan, and entrepreneur Saša Cvetojević.

Siniša Drobnjak, the summit founder, has been running successful companies dealing with IT solutions, dental product distribution, and business education since 1995. As a graduate electrical engineer, he is a co-author of scientific articles in biomedical engineering and the leader of six EU-funded projects. His education at prestigious business schools in the USA and Europe has further contributed to the success of his enterprises.

Drobnjak's company has developed an application for dental offices used by a large number of offices in Croatia, as well as an application for electronic nursing documentation management in cooperation with the Croatian Nursing Council. His passion for personal development and sporting challenges, such as completing ultramarathons and Ironman races, further highlights his commitment and inner strength. He is also recognized as a humanitarian and is the recipient of the "Turopolje Heart" award from the city of Velika Gorica.

Short News Editorial Office

The editorial team for current affairs operates as a shared space where experience, journalistic passion and curiosity come together every day to create content that aims to give readers what matters most – clear, verified and human information. This is a place where authors and volunteers gather, people who have been observing the world around us for more than three decades, from social changes and cultural movements to new trends in lifestyle, travel and global events.

Our work is not based on templates but on real experience and a genuine sense for storytelling. The editorial desk has grown from years spent in the field, talking to people, following events and exploring topics that shape everyday life. That is why we strive for storytelling that is not merely the transmission of information, but an effort to understand the context, background and human dimension of each topic. Every article passes through the hands of an author guided by a simple rule: we do not write to fill space, but to provide real value.

In our work, we rely on experience gained through years of journalistic practice, as well as on the curiosity that constantly drives us forward. Whether it is a social change, a festival, a travel report, an analysis of a current issue or an event that attracts public attention, we always try to maintain a human tone and balance. We write the way we ourselves would like to read – clearly, accurately and with respect for facts and for the reader.

As an editorial team, we believe that the modern information space requires responsibility and presence, but also warmth and understanding. In a time of fast news, it is especially important for us to offer content that is not just a fleeting echo of the moment, but a text that helps readers better understand the world around them. This is why we constantly return to the fundamental values of journalism: dialogue, research, verification and perseverance.

The editorial team for current affairs exists to give a voice to real stories and to the people who carry them. Every member of the desk brings their personal experience, and together we work with the idea that readers should receive what they deserve – reliable, contemporary and professionally crafted information, written with heart and knowledge, without haste and without automation.
