The 18th INmusic festival brings Gorillaz, Jack White and Kings of Leon to Jarun
In June 2026, the INmusic festival enters one of its symbolically most important editions. According to the organizers' announcement, the 18th edition of the festival will take place from 22 to 24 June 2026 on the Jarun islands in Zagreb, and the program is headed by Jack White, Gorillaz and Kings of Leon. At the same time, the festival also marks 20 years since its first edition, held in 2006, which places this year's program in the broader context of the development of one of the most recognizable music events in Croatia.
It is a festival that has grown into a permanent fixture of the European concert season, with an emphasis on contemporary original music, rock, indie, alternative and related genres. In the announcement, the organizer points out that the three festival days will once again turn the Jarun islands into a major concert hub, with performances by artists who regularly appear on major international stages. Alongside the main names, the program also includes a number of artists from different musical circles, maintaining the recognizable festival combination of major headliners and current bands that are building or confirming their international status.
Three days of program and clearly scheduled headliners
According to the daily schedule published by the INmusic festival, the first festival day, Monday, 22 June 2026, is headed by Jack White. Manic Street Preachers, KT Tunstall, Fat Dog and additional artists have also been announced for the same day. On the second day, Tuesday, 23 June, Gorillaz perform as the main act, while the program also includes The Flaming Lips, Jehnny Beth, Sprints and others. On the third day, Wednesday, 24 June, the festival finale is headed by Kings of Leon, with a performance by the band IDLES and additional program names.
The official list of artists for 2026 also includes Dry Cleaning, Yonaka, Joshua Idehen, Nusantara Beat and Omar Dahl, alongside the artists already listed in the daily schedule. This means that this year's program does not rely only on several major concerts, but on a broader festival cross-section in which established names, mid-generation artists and newer bands alternate. For years, such an approach has made INmusic recognizable among audiences who do not experience the festival merely as a series of individual concerts, but as a multi-day musical experience.
The announcement of the headliners shows that the organizer is maintaining the international character of the festival. Gorillaz are one of the most recognizable projects in contemporary popular music, Jack White arrives with the reputation of an author and performer who has marked the rock scene over recent decades, while Kings of Leon belong to the group of bands that grew from the American alternative and rock environment into a global concert name. The same program also includes The Flaming Lips, Manic Street Preachers and IDLES, giving the festival a range from long-standing alternative bands to contemporary post-punk and indie rock.
An anniversary that connects two decades of the festival
This year's edition carries a double anniversary mark. The organizer states that it is the 18th edition of the festival, but also a celebration of 20 years since the first INmusic. This difference stems from the festival chronology in which not every year had a regular edition, but the starting point remains 2006, when the festival was first held. In the public announcement, the organizer emphasizes that over two decades INmusic has brought a cross-section of the global contemporary music scene through a three-day program and has remained one of the important carriers of festival culture in Croatia.
For Zagreb, the festival is also important because it takes place at a location that is not a classic indoor concert hall, but a large recreational area in the western part of the city. During the festival period, Jarun is simultaneously a concert location, a camping zone and an urban meeting place, giving INmusic a special identity compared with festivals held outside urban centers. Precisely the combination of the lake, islands, open-air stages and proximity to public transport is one of the key features by which the festival stands out.
The anniversary character of the 2026 edition is also important for the festival's continuity. Over the years, INmusic has built a reputation as an event that brings relevant artists from different periods of popular music to Zagreb, as well as an audience for whom the complete festival experience matters. In that sense, the 18th edition is presented not only as another musical weekend in the calendar, but as confirmation of the longevity of a project that has endured amid the changing circumstances of the European concert market.
Jarun as a festival stage and city destination
The Jarun Recreational and Sports Center has been the central location of INmusic for years. According to festival information, the concert area is located on the Island of Youth, while the camping zones are connected with the Jarun islands. Such an arrangement enables the program, accommodation and movement of visitors to take place within the wider lake complex, but also close enough to tram and bus connections to the rest of the city. For visitors coming for several days, Zagreb therefore functions not only as the venue of the festival, but also as additional content before and after the concerts.
The festival's official instructions emphasize that public transport and bicycles are recommended for arriving at Jarun. The organizer states that RSC Jarun has been a pedestrian zone since April 2024 and that entry of motor vehicles into the lake complex is not permitted. In cooperation with the city transport services, a special ZET festival bus line number 113 is planned, which, according to the festival announcement, should operate between the Ljubljanica terminal and the Hrgovići entrance, or continue circulating toward the festival entrance.
For arrival from the city center, the official instructions list combinations of tram lines toward the western part of Zagreb and pedestrian access from the Staglišće or Jarun stops. Visitors arriving by train are advised to travel from the Central Station by tram toward the southern part of the city, and then continue by lines toward Jarun. For arrival from the Bus Station, the tram line toward Prečko is mentioned, while passengers arriving by plane are advised to use shuttle transport from Zagreb Airport to the Bus Station and then continue by city transport.
Camping as an important part of the festival experience
One of INmusic's special features is the festival campsite, which allows visitors a multi-day stay immediately next to the festival location. According to the festival's official webshop, the seven-day camping ticket for the 18th edition is valid from 19 to 26 June 2026, but only with a valid three-day festival ticket. The organizer specifically states that the festival ticket is not included in the price of the camping ticket and that it is purchased separately.
The Zagreb Tourist Board, on the Love Zagreb portal, describes INmusic as a camping festival with several stages and a medium-sized audience, listing warm showers, WiFi, the possibility of storing personal belongings and places for charging electronic devices as part of the camping infrastructure. The same source also highlights additional activities at Jarun, from swimming to sports such as volleyball, football, rollerblading, cycling, table tennis and mini golf. These facilities explain why the campsite within the festival is not only a practical solution for overnight stays, but an important part of the event's identity.
For those who are not staying in the campsite, Zagreb offers a wider choice of hostels, rooms, apartments and hotels. Since the festival takes place during a period of increased tourist and event-related interest, planning a stay earlier may be important for easier arrival at and return from the concerts. Visitors who want to stay in the city before or after the festival days can check accommodation offers in Zagreb, especially if they want to combine concerts at Jarun with a tour of the city center, museums, hospitality venues or other cultural content.
Tickets, one-day options and practical notes
According to the official INmusic announcement, one-day tickets for the 18th edition are available in a limited number through the official festival webshop at a price of 99 euros plus transaction costs. The organizer states that a one-day ticket is valid only for the purchased date and cannot be used for another festival day. The same announcement states that three-day tickets are available at a price of 139 euros plus transaction costs, while seven-day camping tickets are listed at a price of 59 euros plus transaction costs.
The page for purchasing the camping ticket lists a total price of 62 euros, or 59 euros plus transaction costs. Buyers receive tickets in PDF format by email after confirmation of the transaction, and the organizer recommends printing the ticket and bringing a physical copy for more efficient entry. Such notes are especially important for a festival with a large number of visitors, because timely preparation of documents and tickets reduces the possibility of delays at entrances.
The practical part of planning also includes movement around Jarun. Since the official instructions emphasize restrictions for motor vehicles and recommend using public transport, visitors should count on walking from tram or bus stops to the festival area. Arrival by bicycle is also listed as a recommended option, with bicycle stands placed near the entrance. Such instructions are not only a logistical recommendation, but also a way of managing traffic around the lake during days when a significantly larger number of people is expected.
A musical range that gives the festival a recognizable profile
The program of the 18th INmusic combines artists who address different generations of the audience. Jack White brings an authorial and guitar-driven signature that connects garage rock, blues and a contemporary alternative expression. Gorillaz represent a different festival format because they combine a musical project, visual identity and collaborations with numerous musicians. Kings of Leon come to Zagreb as a band that has grown from Southern and alternative rock into a stadium-level concert name.
Alongside them, Manic Street Preachers and The Flaming Lips represent long-standing bands with a distinct authorial identity, while IDLES belong to the louder and more politically charged part of the contemporary British post-punk scene. Jehnny Beth, Dry Cleaning, Sprints, Fat Dog and Yonaka further expand the program toward current indie, post-punk and alternative currents. KT Tunstall brings a singer-songwriter and pop-rock segment, while Joshua Idehen and other announced artists give the program additional breadth.
Such a schedule confirms that INmusic does not build its program exclusively according to the most commercial part of the music offering. The festival relies on recognizable artists, but alongside them regularly opens space for bands that are important for current club and festival scenes. For the audience, this means that the three festival days can also be experienced as an opportunity to discover new names, and not only as an arrival at the performances of the biggest headliners.
Zagreb as the backdrop to a festival stay
Holding the festival in Zagreb gives INmusic the advantage of accessibility. Visitors arriving in the city by train, bus or plane can rely on the existing transport infrastructure, while Jarun is included in the city's rhythm of everyday transport. At the same time, the lakeside location provides the impression of a separate festival space, which is a rare combination for an event held within the capital city.
A stay in Zagreb during the festival can be connected with visits to cultural institutions, walks through the city center, the gastronomic offering and daytime rest between concerts. In that sense, INmusic is not only a concert event, but also a reason for a multi-day stay in the city. For some visitors, the campsite at Jarun will be the most natural choice, while others will choose city districts with better connections to the tram lines that lead to the western part of the city.
Precisely this combination of an international program, an open-air location and the accessibility of city content explains why INmusic has retained a recognizable place in the festival calendar. The anniversary edition from 22 to 24 June 2026 relies on the experience of previous years, but also on a program that clearly shows the ambition for Jarun once again to be one of the key regional places for major summer concerts.
