- Caltrain connects San Jose with the Peninsula and San Francisco.
- VTA buses and light rail connect the station with downtown, Campbell, Mountain View and other parts of the area.
- ACE arrives from the direction of Stockton, Tracy, Livermore, Pleasanton, Fremont and Santa Clara.
- Capitol Corridor connects San Jose with Oakland, Berkeley, Davis, Sacramento and other cities along the route.
The concert takes place on a Friday, so the weekday train schedule should be checked. SAP Center warns that trains will not wait if the event ends later than planned. Visitors who depend on the final departure should determine a backup return option in advance.
For cyclists, ten BiKeep system stations are available beside the arena on Barack Obama Boulevard, near the box office. The system is used through an application, and space availability can be checked before arrival.
Parking, bags and entry
Parking lots beside SAP Center usually open two hours before the event begins. Within a radius of approximately one-third of a mile, there are more than 3,000 parking spaces, including about 1,500 spaces in the main parking lot beside the arena. Entrances to that parking lot are accessible from Santa Clara Street and Julian Street.
Traffic may become heavier immediately before the start, so arriving earlier leaves enough time for parking and the security check. For travelers staying in downtown San Jose, arriving on foot is often simpler than driving.
SAP Center recommends bags measuring 5 x 9 x 2 inches or smaller to make entry faster. Larger bags are permitted up to a maximum of 20 x 14 x 11 inches, but they must pass through X-ray screening and fit underneath the seat. The arena has no bag check or lockers for items that cannot be brought inside.
Medical and parenting bags are permitted subject to security screening. A clear bag does not bypass screening if it is larger than the recommended dimensions. The mobile ticket and identification document should be prepared before reaching the checkpoint. On event days, the box office opens two hours before the start.

A brief guide to staying in San Jose
San Jose is the largest city in Silicon Valley and a practical base for visitors combining the concert with a short stay in Northern California. SAP Center lies along the western edge of downtown, so it is possible to remain within the pedestrian zone before the performance without additional travel by car.
Downtown contains The Tech Interactive, San Jose Museum of Art and Plaza de César Chávez, while restaurants are spread between Santa Clara Street, San Pedro Square and the surrounding neighborhoods. It is wise to leave enough time for dinner before the concert because venues closer to the arena fill up as the start approaches.
Downtown is approximately four miles from San Jose Mineta International Airport. For arrival from other parts of the Bay Area, taking a train to Diridon Station is often more practical than driving through congested traffic corridors.
What to check immediately before the concert
The most important item is the start time. SAP Center currently lists 7:00 p.m., while other listings may contain a different time. The door-opening time, any opening act and the final detailed schedule have not yet been listed on the event page. The current public transportation timetable should also be checked, especially the final evening departures from Diridon Station.
