BTS in Santiago: All Seven Members Return to the Big Stage with the ARIRANG Tour
BTS will perform on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, Chile. This will be the final show of three nights the South Korean group has scheduled in the Chilean capital, following concerts on October 14 and 16. According to the latest published schedule, the main performance will begin at 20:00 local time. The BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' reunites all seven members on the same stage, combining new songs with the repertoire that has earned the group an audience far beyond the boundaries of K-pop.
Why ARIRANG Marks a Different Chapter in BTS's Career
RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook debuted in 2013 and gradually developed a sound that blends hip-hop, pop, R&B and electronic production. Their songs are more than just dance singles: rap lyrics often explore personal and social themes, while vocal passages give the music its distinctive melodic identity. This range is particularly important when anticipating their concerts, as the energy of songs such as 'MIC Drop' and 'IDOL' differs considerably from the quieter moments of the show.
The album 'ARIRANG', released on March 20, 2026, contains 14 tracks and marked the group's first full-length studio album together after a break of three years and nine months. Its title refers to Korea's musical heritage, but the album is not driven solely by nostalgia. Rhythm and contemporary production dominate tracks such as 'Hooligan', 'Aliens', 'FYA' and '2.0', while 'SWIM', 'Merry Go Round' and 'Into the Sun' create space for a different atmosphere. Following its release, 'SWIM' reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, helping explain why new music is central to the current tour.
What Previous Concerts Reveal About the Setlist
The tour began in Goyang in April, and subsequent performances in Japan, Europe and North America demonstrated how BTS builds an evening around contrasts. Powerful openings featuring 'Hooligan' and 'Aliens' give way to familiar songs such as 'FAKE LOVE' and 'Run BTS', while other sections alternate between high-energy dance highlights and slower moments. A recording of the April 17 concert at Tokyo Dome, for which a performance list was published, also includes 'Not Today', 'Butter', 'Dynamite', 'Please' and 'Into the Sun'. These are examples of songs performed during the tour, not a confirmed setlist for Santiago.
Reviews of the Goyang and Chicago performances also describe something that studio recordings cannot convey: the members move between different parts of the stage, alternate group choreography with conversations, and leave room for more spontaneous interactions with the audience. The performance of 'Body to Body' incorporated elements of Korean tradition, while 'SWIM' was accompanied at previous concerts by stage design featuring fabric that evokes waves. There is no reason to assume in advance that every performance, transition or song in Santiago will be exactly the same as at earlier shows.
For longtime fans, the return of the group's shared repertoire carries additional significance. Those who know BTS through 'Dynamite' or 'Butter' may also discover their hip-hop side and songs inspired by Korean tradition.
Returning to Chile for the Final Night in Santiago
Santiago is familiar territory for BTS. During the 'WINGS' tour, the group performed at Movistar Arena on March 11 and 12, 2017. They are now returning to the open-air national stadium, with a different scale of venue and production organized around a central stage. The difference between an arena and a stadium is particularly noticeable when watching choreography: spectators in the stands can take in the entire stage, while those on the floor are closer to the center of the performance, depending on their selected section and position.
October 17 is the last of the three scheduled BTS performances in the Chilean capital. The additional October 14 show was introduced following strong demand for the originally announced concerts on October 16 and 17. It is therefore worth securing tickets for the final concert in good time, carefully checking the date and section rather than focusing only on the artist's name.
Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos and Views of the Stage
Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos is located in the Ñuñoa district, at Avenida Grecia 2001. Opened in 1938, it is known for football and athletics events and also holds an important place in Chilean history. The national heritage database describes the venue as having approximately 47,000 seats, but this figure is not the same as the number of places available for a particular concert: a concert configuration includes the stage, technical areas and floor sections.
A 360-degree stage concept is planned for BTS. Instead of the usual arrangement with performers at one end of the stadium, the center of the production is surrounded by the audience. This changes how individual choreographies are experienced and provides views from multiple directions. On the other hand, the experience from the stands is not the same as that from the floor, and distance, viewing angles and sound in an open-air stadium may vary between sections. No seat guarantees an uninterrupted view of every member throughout the entire performance.
According to the venue layout, Cancha Pacífico and Cancha Andes form a connected area around the stage, but visitors must enter through the access point corresponding to the designation on their tickets. In unreserved areas, positions are taken on arrival, while numbered seats are assigned by row and seat number. Packages that include early entry and attendance at the soundcheck have separate meeting instructions. Before choosing tickets, it is useful to compare the views from different sections and check whether the ticket is for a seated or standing area.
Schedule for Arrival, Entry and the Start of the Show
Organizer DG Medios has published a more detailed schedule for the Santiago concerts. It is important to distinguish between access to the wider Parque Estadio Nacional grounds and entry into the stadium itself. The published schedule is as follows:
- 10:00 - check-in for visitors with VIP packages.
- 11:30 - opening of the ARMY Zone, which remains open until 18:30.
- 14:00 - entry to Parque Estadio Nacional begins.
- 16:30 - stadium gates open according to ticket section and category.
- 18:30 - performance by a local DJ.
- 20:00 - scheduled start of the BTS concert.
This schedule allows visitors to arrive without spending hours waiting at the wrong entrance. The organizer has specifically warned that camping is not permitted, nor is arriving more than two hours before the time designated for a particular activity or visitor category. Arrival should be planned according to the actual entrance indicated on the ticket and any additional instructions for VIP packages. The duration of the main performance and the exact finishing time have not been confirmed in advance, so return travel should not be arranged around an assumed time for the final song.
Named Tickets, Identification and Visitor Rules
Tickets for BTS concerts in Santiago are linked to the visitor's name. At entry, attendees must have a valid photo identification document matching the details on the ticket, along with the corresponding digital code. For international travelers, a passport is the simplest document for identity verification. Anyone using a ticket issued in another person's name with mismatched information risks being refused entry, even if the digital code is valid.
Transfers and name changes are subject to deadlines and restrictions. For standard tickets, a one-time name change has been announced as available until 16:00 on the day of the concert, while VIP packages have earlier deadlines. For the October 17 performance, the deadline for transferring VIP packages expired on October 7. Visitors traveling in groups should verify that the name, category and digital ticket details match before heading to the stadium. Children under six are not permitted to enter, and rules requiring adult accompaniment apply to younger attendees.
What Visitors Can Bring Into the Stadium
A list of permitted and prohibited items has been published for the concerts. One backpack, bag or similar item of luggage per person is allowed, with maximum dimensions of 30 x 60 centimeters, and it does not have to be transparent. Visitors may bring an empty plastic water bottle of up to 500 milliliters, and drinking water stations have been announced within the park. BTS light sticks, portable chargers with a capacity of up to 10,000 mAh, small banners measuring up to 28 x 43 centimeters without poles, and basic personal equipment that passes security screening are also permitted.
Prohibited items include professional recording equipment, tripods and selfie sticks, glass and metal bottles, larger containers, outside food and drinks without a justified exception, and objects that could endanger safety. The organizer also mentions the use of lasers, smoke, flames, pyrotechnics and strobe lighting during the show. For sensitive visitors, this information is more important than the marketing description of the production. Rules may be updated shortly before the performance, so they should be checked again before leaving the accommodation.
Getting to the Stadium and Returning After the Concert
The easiest reference point for arriving by public transport is Estadio Nacional station on Metro Line 6. A short walking route along Avenida Grecia leads from the station to the stadium complex. For travelers arriving from other lines, connections via Ñuñoa and Ñuble stations are useful. Given the expected number of visitors, slower movement through security checkpoints and crowds after the show should be anticipated.
For October 14, 16 and 17, Metro de Santiago has announced extended services until midnight, but only at selected stations. After the concert, entry to the metro system is planned at Estadio Nacional, Ñuñoa and Ñuble stations. Exiting and transferring will be possible at designated stations on Lines 3, 5 and 6; other stations should not automatically be assumed to remain open. Visitors are advised to check their intended exit station in advance and ensure they have sufficient credit on their bip! card or another accepted payment method.
For those arriving by car, a Park and Ride option has been announced at the Mallplaza Egaña and Mallplaza Vespucio parking facilities, from where the journey continues by metro. The first location is connected to Plaza Egaña station, while the second is connected to Bellavista de La Florida. This may be more practical than searching for parking immediately next to the stadium. Parking conditions and the time of the last possible return should be checked separately; extended metro operating hours do not mean that every exit or parking facility will automatically remain open throughout the night.
Santiago as a Destination for a Concert Trip
Santiago lies at the foot of the Andes and offers enough attractions for a stay extending beyond the concert itself. For visitors arriving by air, the main gateway is Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. Historical landmarks, museums, restaurants and walkable neighborhoods throughout the city can be explored using the metro network. Popular choices include the historic center around Plaza de Armas, the cultural district of Lastarria, Cerro Santa Lucía and Barrio Italia, with its cafés and restaurants.
Accommodation in Ñuñoa or near a transport connection to Line 6 can make the return journey after the stadium event easier. It is best to set aside a separate day for sightseeing outside the concert schedule. October is a spring month in central Chile: for long periods of waiting outdoors, it is sensible to bring sun protection, stay hydrated and carry an additional light layer of clothing for the evening.
