Creamfields in Daresbury: three days of electronic music across multiple stages
Creamfields 2026 returns to Daresbury Estate in Cheshire over the extended weekend at the end of August. The festival as a whole runs from Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, while the three-day ticket covered by this guide includes Friday the 28th, Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of August. The program is not concentrated on a single main stage, but spread across a series of large outdoor and indoor venues featuring different branches of electronic music.
The festival grew out of the club culture associated with Cream, with the first festival edition held in 1998. Daresbury became its home in 2006, meaning the 2026 edition marks 20 years at this location. The rural site between Liverpool and Manchester has allowed Creamfields to develop into a multi-day complex with campsites, arenas, large outdoor stages and additional zones.
The range is broad: house and tech house share the weekend with trance, techno, hard techno, drum and bass, pop-oriented electronic music and live performances. Tickets for this event are in demand.
Friday: Disclosure Live, Fisher, John Summit and Carl Cox
Friday immediately shows how heavily Creamfields relies on parallel programs. Arc is headlined by Disclosure Live, with Chris Stussy, Chloé Caillet and Niva also announced for the same stage. Apex brings Fisher, John Summit, Rossi., Syreeta and Gareth Wyn, while HALO moves in another direction with Carl Cox, Franky Wah, Ben Sterling and Chelina Manuhutu.
For a harder sound, Steel Yard presents Teletech is important, with names including Adrián Mills, Alex Farell, AZYR, blk., Cloudy, NOVAH, Holy Priest and I Hate Models. Nation brings Ben Nicky, Darren Styles, Lilly Palmer, Maddix and Space 92, while The Forest presents History of Rave connects Eats Everything, Shy FX & MC Rage, 4am Kru and Sarah Story. Trance fans have a separate Full On program with Paul Oakenfold, Giuseppe Ottaviani and Ilan Bluestone.
Friday is therefore not just "Disclosure day". A visitor can move from a live show on a large outdoor stage to hard techno, then to trance or house without leaving the festival grounds. It is most useful to choose a few priorities in advance because interesting performances overlap.
Saturday: Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix and Underworld
Saturday has a particularly packed program. Arc is headlined by Calvin Harris, alongside Josh Baker and Jazzy. Apex brings together several major names, including Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Ben Hemsley, Dimitri Vegas, Martin Garrix and MK.
Steel Yard combines live electronic music, techno and house. Underworld Live, Amelie Lens Presents AURA, CamelPhat, Dom Dolla, Eli Brown, SOSA, Kettama and Pete Tong have been announced. Saturday expands the spectrum further with the Teletech program, the HALO stage featuring Patrick Topping, East End Dubs and Rebūke, and the Sub_Aural program with Andy C ft Tonn Piper, Hedex ft Eksman, Hybrid Minds ft Tempza, Culture Shock, Kanine, Koven and Sigma.
This is the day when the difference between Creamfields and a festival with one dominant stage is felt most strongly. A major outdoor performance on Arc can be combined with the indoor production of Steel Yard, drum and bass or a smaller genre-focused program. It is worth securing tickets in time.
Sunday: Swedish House Mafia, Sonny Fodera, Tiësto and Faithless
Sunday's program closes the three-day part of the festival with a combination of major names and different styles. Arc is headlined by Sonny Fodera, alongside Becky Hill, Armand van Helden and Arielle Free. Swedish House Mafia is the main name on Apex, where D.O.D, Danny Howard, Ewan McVicar and Duke Dumont are also announced.
Steel Yard brings Tiësto and Faithless Live on Sunday, while HALO gathers Gorgon City, Prospa and Silva Bumpa. Hard techno continues through Teletech, Fatboy Slim leads his own "Fatboy Slim Loves" program, and trance fans get Full On with Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila and Amy Wiles.
Sunday is therefore more than the closing set of a single headliner. The audience can choose between a major Swedish House Mafia performance, the more dance-oriented Arc, a live Faithless performance, Tiësto's set, trance or a hard techno program. Full set times are available in the Creamfields app.
Daresbury Estate and the festival format
Creamfields takes place at a greenfield festival site in Daresbury, Cheshire, between Liverpool and Manchester. Unlike a city festival, this is a purpose-organized outdoor site with campsites, temporary infrastructure and large arenas.
Daresbury is a small village also known as the birthplace of Lewis Carroll, author of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". For visitors arriving from other parts of the United Kingdom or from abroad, Liverpool, Manchester and Warrington are nevertheless more practical reference points because the festival organizes transport from major transport hubs.
The most important things for planning a visit:
- the festival is in a rural part of Cheshire, between Liverpool and Manchester;
- the program is distributed across multiple outdoor and indoor stages;
- the campsites and Event Arena have different access rules, depending on the type of ticket;
- Downtown is an additional zone for campers with activities outside the main music program;
- maps, set times and practical information are available in the Creamfields app.
Which type of ticket to choose
At Creamfields, it is important to distinguish the number of days from camping rights. A three-day Non Camping ticket allows entry to the Event Arena on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with departure after the end of each day and return the following day. A three-day Camping ticket covers the same three days and includes camping, but does not provide access to the campsite on Thursday.
Single-day tickets are valid only for the selected day and the Event Arena. They do not include access to the campsite. The no re-entry rule during the same day is strict: after leaving, it is not possible to return using the same day ticket. With a multi-day Non Camping ticket, returning the following day is possible.
The Camping offer has several levels. Bronze provides access to a separate Bronze campsite with hot showers, sanitary facilities and an info hub. Silver includes the Gold/Silver campsite, showers, sanitary facilities, a pamper tent and parking. Gold adds access to the Hospitality Arena and additional benefits. Dreamfields and Pre-Pitch accommodation are separate options.
From 2026, tickets for entry to the festival are digital and used through the Creamfields app. Before travelling, it is therefore necessary to check account access and load the ticket.
Getting there: shuttle, car and transport hubs
For visitors without a car, a practical option is to travel to a major transport hub and continue by festival shuttle. During the weekend, shuttle services connect the festival site with Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington and the Runcorn and Widnes area.
Arriving by car requires more attention. Organizers warn of special traffic regulations and closures around the festival, so on the final approach visitors should follow festival signage instead of relying only on satellite navigation. Car parks are part of a specially organized system around the event, and some ticket levels include parking.
For international visitors, Manchester and Liverpool are natural entry points because of their air and rail connections. Anyone staying in a hotel outside the festival site must have a Non Camping or appropriate single-day ticket if they want to leave after the program and return the next day.
What can and cannot be brought in
The rules for the campsite and Event Arena are not the same. Only bags A4 size or smaller are allowed in the Event Arena. Glass is not permitted, including perfume bottles and similar containers. Professional cameras, including SLR equipment, are not allowed, and drones, laser pointers, fireworks, pyrotechnics and large speakers are also prohibited.
Empty reusable plastic and metal bottles may be brought in, while holders of single-day tickets may bring one sealed plastic bottle of water up to 500 ml. Food is allowed in the campsite for campers, but not in the Event Arena. Disposable vape devices are not permitted, while rechargeable devices are allowed. Medicines are subject to rules relating to original packaging and appropriate documentation.
Before leaving, check:
- a bag for the Event Arena must not exceed A4 size;
- glass bottles and containers are not permitted;
- professional photo and audio-video equipment is not permitted;
- items allowed in the campsite are not necessarily allowed among the stages;
- the digital ticket and festival map should be ready on the phone.
Downtown and activities beyond the main stages
Creamfields is not limited only to DJ sets. Downtown gives the camping area of the festival additional life between the main performances. The Electric Avenue program for 2026 includes Bingo Bango, Mass Karaoke, DJ Academy, a quiz, Indoor Arcade and Inflatable Church.
DJ Academy includes practical sessions, while karaoke, the quiz and the arcade are more social activities. Downtown therefore functions as a festival village, rather than merely a passage between tents and the main arena.
There are also Help Tents and info hubs on site. In the campsites, info hubs are available throughout the day, while Help Tents provide information, medical and security support or assistance with finding your way around.
How to get the most out of three days
The best strategy is not to make an overly long list of artists that must be seen. It is more realistic to choose a few priorities each day and build a flexible plan around them. Creamfields has enough parallel programming that a great set often happens precisely between two major names.
Friday is a natural choice for Disclosure Live, Fisher, John Summit, Carl Cox or the harder Teletech program. Saturday requires the most compromises because of Calvin Harris, Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Underworld, Amelie Lens and Dom Dolla. Sunday brings Swedish House Mafia, Sonny Fodera, Tiësto, Faithless Live, Gorgon City and Fatboy Slim.
Set times are available in the Creamfields app, where artists can be marked and reminders can be set. The app also contains a festival map and features for marking the location of a car or tent. For a first visit, this makes navigating between the stages and campsites considerably easier.
Creamfields is most interesting when visitors take advantage of the opportunity to change genre and atmosphere during the day: from an outdoor main stage to an indoor techno arena, then trance, drum and bass or a smaller house program.
Ticket sales for this event are underway. Before purchasing, the number of days, camping or non-camping access and ticket level should be chosen carefully, because these differences determine where entry is possible, whether the site can be left and re-entered the following day, and which camping benefits are included.
