Karol G in Glendale: Tropitour arrives at State Farm Stadium
Karol G is coming to State Farm Stadium in Glendale with the "Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour". The performance is scheduled for August 29 at 7:00 PM, and it is one of the U.S. stops on a tour that traveled through major stadiums in Chicago, Toronto, Las Vegas, Inglewood, Santa Clara and Seattle during the summer before arriving in Arizona.
The concert takes place at a particularly interesting moment. The tour began with a strong emphasis on the album "Tropicoqueta", but during the tour Karol G also released a new album, "NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO", released on August 7. Glendale therefore comes at a time when her live repertoire sits between two very different musical phases.
Tickets for this event are currently on sale.
From "Tropicoqueta" to the new album
In recent years, Karol G has combined reggaeton, Latin urban pop and a broader pop sound. The album "Mañana Será Bonito" earned her the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album in 2024, while "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" won the Latin Grammy for Song of the Year in 2025. Among her most recognizable songs are "Tusa", "BICHOTA", "PROVENZA", "TQG", "MAMIII", "QLONA" and "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido".
"Tropicoqueta", released on June 20, 2025, contains 20 songs and expands her sound toward tropical and other Latin American influences. The album features Eddy Lover, Marco Antonio Solís, Greeicy, Feid, Mariah Angeliq and Manu Chao. Songs such as "LATINA FOREVA", "Papasito", "Dile Luna", "Coleccionando Heridas", "Amiga Mía", "Viajando Por El Mundo" and the title track "Tropicoqueta" gave the tour much of its initial identity.
Only a few weeks after the start of the tour came "NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO", a 14-song album with a more intimate and melancholic direction. Collaborators include Drake, Bruno Mars, Greg Gonzalez, Judeline and rusowsky. "MATADORA" was already introduced at the tour opener in Chicago, before the release of the full album. Because of this, it is not reasonable to assume that the repertoire in Glendale will be identical to that of the first tour dates.
What the performances so far suggest about the repertoire
The setlists from the first concerts provide a useful framework, but not a guarantee for Glendale. In Chicago and Toronto, the songs performed included "LATINA FOREVA", "Un Gatito Me Llamó", "OKI DOKI", "QLONA", "Tropicoqueta", "Papasito", "MAMIII", "Ivonny Bonita", "GATÚBELA", "AMARGURA", "Dile Luna", "TQG", "BICHOTA", "Tusa", "Coleccionando Heridas", "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" and "Viajando Por El Mundo".
This clearly demonstrates the principle behind the tour: new material alternates with hits from earlier phases. Audiences coming for "Tropicoqueta" get a substantial portion of that album, while longtime fans still have strong points of recognition through the songs that brought Karol G to stadium level.
A report from the tour opener at Soldier Field in Chicago describes a performance lasting approximately two and a half hours, with a large dance and musical ensemble, mariachi segments and stage design that makes use of the stadium's scale. This is an indication of the production's ambition, but it is not a promise that the duration, guests or every visual element will be the same in Glendale.
At the same time, the concert can constantly shift its musical character: from harder reggaeton and urban pop to tropical and mariachi elements. It is precisely this breadth that makes the current phase interesting for audiences who do not associate Karol G with only one genre.
Who this concert is for
- fans who have followed Karol G since the albums "Unstoppable", "Ocean" and "KG0516"
- audiences who arrived during the "Mañana Será Bonito" era and through songs such as "TQG", "QLONA" and "AMARGURA"
- listeners for whom "Tropicoqueta" opened up Karol G's broader, tropical sound
- audiences interested in the new, more emotional direction of the album "NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO"
- visitors who do not normally follow reggaeton in detail but want a large contemporary Latin pop concert
It is worth securing tickets in time.
State Farm Stadium: a stadium, not a conventional concert hall
State Farm Stadium opened in 2006 and has 63,400 fixed seats, with the ability to expand to more than 73,000 for the largest events. Its best-known technical features are a fully retractable roof and a natural grass field that can be rolled outside the building. For concerts, the important point is that the sports surface can be moved away, opening up a large floor area for stage production and the audience.
The roof also changes the feel of the space. Depending on the decision for a specific event, the stadium can feel more like a huge enclosed arena or a more open stadium space. The roof status may change on the day of the event, so it should not be assumed in advance.
At a stadium concert, proximity to the performer is not the same in every section. The floor and lower stands offer a physically closer experience, while the upper stands provide a broader view of the choreography, lighting and stage design. The exact stage layout determines the actual sightlines, so before buying it is worth comparing the section with the seating map for the specific event.
Acoustically, this is a space of enormous dimensions, not an intimate venue. The advantage is the size of the crowd and the large production space; the compromise is that sound and the sense of proximity can vary between the floor, lower stands and highest sections.
Getting to Glendale and parking
State Farm Stadium is located at 1 Cardinals Drive in Glendale, in the wider Phoenix metropolitan area. The stadium is next to Loop 101, between Cardinals Way and Glendale Avenue. According to stadium information, the drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to the venue takes approximately 30 minutes under normal conditions, but on the day of a major concert additional travel time should be allowed.
The complex is part of the Glendale Sports & Entertainment District, and nearby is the Westgate Entertainment District with hotels, restaurants and other amenities. This is practical for visitors coming from other cities or states who want to stay close to the stadium.
The stadium lists more than 20,000 parking spaces within its broader parking system. For major events, arranging parking in advance is recommended. Visitors without a pre-reserved space can, according to information for this concert, use available stadium parking lots and pay by credit or debit card. Cash is not accepted.
For rideshare arrivals and departures, a designated zone is located in the Black Lot south of the stadium. Crowds should be expected there after the concert, so it is useful to agree on a meeting point with your group before entering.
Practical arrival plan
- check your route before departure and expect increased traffic around Loop 101, Glendale Avenue and Cardinals Way
- if you are arriving by car, check parking in advance and have a card ready for cashless payment
- if you use rideshare, the Black Lot south of the stadium is the designated arrival and departure zone
- do not plan to arrive at the last minute because security screening includes bag checks and metal detectors
- the gate opening time is currently not listed on the event page, so check it shortly before arrival
Entry rules that can save time
State Farm Stadium applies a Clear Bag Policy for this concert. The simplest option is to arrive without a bag. If a bag is necessary, a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches is permitted, as is a standard clear one-gallon freezer bag. Small non-transparent purses are permitted only within the considerably smaller dimensions specified in the stadium rules.
All visitors undergo security screening, and bags and items are subject to inspection. The stadium does not have storage space for prohibited items, so a problematic item may mean returning to your vehicle.
Items that are not permitted include professional cameras and certain photographic equipment, video cameras, large umbrellas, laptops, selfie sticks, coolers, lasers, pyrotechnics and weapons. One factory-sealed, unfrozen 500 ml bottle of plain water is permitted. Rules may be updated, so they should be checked again before departure.
Special exceptions are available for visitors with medical needs and families with young children. The stadium also has ADA-accessible facilities, wheelchair assistance and a sensory room on the main level.
Why Glendale is an interesting tour stop
Glendale falls between the performances in Seattle and San Antonio, so the concert comes in the middle of an intensive stadium run. More importantly, it takes place only a few weeks after the release of "NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO". This raises the question of how much of the new album will have entered the concert program by then.
At present, there is not enough confirmed information to state in advance how many new songs will be performed. The setlists so far should therefore be used as a guide rather than a final program. The State Farm Stadium page for this concert currently does not list an opening act or special guest, so that should not be assumed in advance either.
How to prepare for the evening
The best preparation is simple: check your ticket and parking before departure, keep the items you carry to a minimum, arrive early enough for security screening and choose clothing suitable for a long evening in a large stadium. In Arizona at the end of August, it is useful to avoid unnecessarily long periods waiting outdoors, especially if you arrive early.
If your priority is a broad visual overview, the stands may have an advantage. If you want physical proximity to the stage and the energy of the crowd on the floor, closer sections provide a different experience. The production so far uses a large portion of the stadium space, so the seat closest to the main stage is not necessarily the only interesting place in the venue.

Karol G comes to Glendale at a time when her music is changing again: major urban and reggaeton hits remain the foundation of her recognition, "Tropicoqueta" expanded the concert toward tropical and more traditional Latin sounds, while the new album brings a more intimate emotional direction. For visitors, the most important practical point is to allow enough time for arrival and entry because State Farm Stadium operates on the scale of a large NFL stadium.
