Because power banks are explicitly listed among the prohibited items, it is advisable to fully charge your phone before heading to the arena. Tickets and identification documents should be kept easily accessible, while unnecessary items should be left at the accommodation or in secure storage.
Arrival by train and public transport
The Visarno Arena is slightly more than two kilometres from Florence's main railway station, Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Because of the large number of visitors, the tram is a more practical option than attempting to drive directly to the entrance.
- Tram line T1 - get off at Cascine (Carlo Monni), near the arena.
- Tram line T2 - get off at San Donato (Università), followed by a signposted walking route towards Via delle Cascine.
- Bicycle - the recommended route from the railway station runs through Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Piazza Goldoni and the cycle path along Lungarno Vespucci, with an approximate journey time of 15 minutes.
Passengers arriving in Florence by air can use T2 from Amerigo Vespucci Airport towards the city. After the concert, crowds and slower boarding should be expected at the stops, so it is advisable to check the final departures and any additional services in advance.
Arrival by car and parking
The recommended approach is park-and-ride, meaning that vehicles should be left at an outlying car park before continuing by tram. For vehicles arriving via the A1 motorway, Villa Costanza is an important option, accessible directly from the motorway between the Firenze Scandicci and Firenze Impruneta exits. From there, T1 travels to Cascine (Carlo Monni).
For arrivals from the north or via the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno road, car parks along T2 in the Guidoni and Novoli areas can be used, followed by travel to San Donato (Università). Motorcycles have a dedicated parking area at Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
Florence has restricted traffic zones, congestion and access arrangements that may change because of events. Improvised searches for parking in the city centre may therefore take more time than travelling by tram from an outlying car park.
