Planning Rock The Country in Ocala? The festival lands at Florida Horse Park on August 28-29, 2026 with Brooks & Dunn, Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi and more country artists. Prepare your visit, compare festival areas and plan your ticket purchase for two days of outdoor music
Rock The Country in Ocala: two days of outdoor country music
Rock The Country arrives at Florida Horse Park in Ocala on August 28 and 29, 2026, with a lineup combining major country stars, performers associated with the genre's more classic sound, and a newer generation of songwriters. Ocala is one of the stops on the traveling festival format, which features a different lineup in each city, and the 2026 edition is part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
In Ocala, the emphasis is distinctly on country. Brooks & Dunn headline the first day, while Blake Shelton tops the lineup on the second day. They are joined by Jon Pardi, Hudson Westbrook, Lauren Alaina, Shenandoah, Mark Chesnutt and a range of performers covering everything from the recognizable country sound of the 1990s to more contemporary approaches.
It is worth securing tickets in advance.
Lineup by day: from Brooks & Dunn to Blake Shelton
The currently announced schedule gives each festival day its own character. Friday leans more heavily on established country names, while Saturday, alongside Blake Shelton, brings Jon Pardi and Hudson Westbrook, performers who connect classic country patterns with today's production.
Friday: Brooks & Dunn, Lauren Alaina and Shenandoah
Friday's listed performers are Brooks & Dunn, Lauren Alaina, Shenandoah, McCoy Moore, Dalton Davis, Sadie Bass, Conner Hicks and Emmy Moyen. Brooks & Dunn come into this performance in a year when they are celebrating 35 years since the album Brand New Man, while also continuing their own Neon Moon Tour throughout 2026.
Lauren Alaina brings a more modern mainstream country approach, while Shenandoah gives the program a direct connection to the country music of the late 1980s and 1990s. The first day is therefore built not around just one major name, but around several generations of performers with similar genre foundations.
Saturday: Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi and Hudson Westbrook
Saturday's listed performers are Blake Shelton, Jon Pardi, Hudson Westbrook, Mark Chesnutt, Fox N' Vead, Ashland Craft, Joe Jordan, Kenny Whitmire and Callie Prince. Blake Shelton carries the main weight of the closing day, Jon Pardi brings a sound inspired by more traditional country, and Mark Chesnutt further emphasizes the connection with honky-tonk and neotraditional country.
The exact timing of individual performances is not presented with the same level of detail on all currently available festival pages. The organizer states that full gate-opening and music performance times are published approximately one to two weeks before each stop, so it is important to check the latest schedule for the Ocala edition before setting off.
Florida Horse Park changes the character of the festival
Florida Horse Park is not a typical urban concert arena. The complex is located at 11008 South Highway 475 in Ocala and was developed as a multipurpose venue for equestrian, agricultural, sporting and other events. The park covers 500 acres, and its documentation also lists 350 acres of maintained grassy areas.
- Location: Florida Horse Park, 11008 South Highway 475, Ocala, Florida.
- Size of the complex: 500 acres.
- The main festival program takes place outdoors.
- There are separate areas for general admission, upgraded packages, camping and parking.
- The festival also has an additional Fan Zone with a second stage.
Ocala is strongly connected with the equestrian industry, and Florida Horse Park itself was created as a venue for equestrian competitions and recreation. As a result, the festival setting has a different spatial logic from a stadium or indoor arena: distances between zones, the time required for entry and what you are allowed to bring with you are important.
Ticket sales for this event are underway.
Which type of festival access to choose
The offer is divided into single-day and weekend options, with several levels of access. Basic GA is intended for visitors whose main priority is entry to the festival and access to standard amenities, including food and drink areas, festival merchandise and activations. GA does not include a reserved seat.
GA+ adds a dedicated viewing area closer to the stage, its own shaded zone, special food and beverage purchasing options and an upgraded restroom area. This category is also essentially standing-room.
VIP includes access to the GA and GA+ areas, a separate viewing zone, a shaded area, a dedicated entrance and an air-conditioned lounge with a feed of performances from the main stage. The VIP area is also set to feature an expanded food offering by chef David Bancroft. Shared seating in the lounge is available subject to availability.
Front Porch includes an elevated view toward the stage, a seat subject to availability, non-alcoholic beverages and dinner, a dedicated entrance and the option to re-enter until 9:00 PM each day. It is the only one of the main listed categories in which seating is part of the concept itself.
Wristbands, entry and returning to the festival grounds
GA, GA+, VIP and Front Porch use RFID wristbands that are sent approximately 5 to 30 days before the event. The festival is intended for all age groups, and children up to the age of 2 may enter without their own paid ticket. All other visitors require a separate ticket.
Visitors who are not camping have one entry per day. After the wristband has been scanned and entry has been made, leaving for the parking lot or going outside the festival area generally means that you cannot return on the same day. Camping has its own rules for movement between the campsite and festival grounds.
The event is cashless. Cards, contactless payments and registered RFID wristbands are used on site, so it is useful to prepare an electronic payment method in advance.
Parking, rideshare and arrival
Parking is a separate item from festival access. The organizer states that parking areas usually open around noon, while the precise time is confirmed closer to the event. Weekend and single-day parking options are available, as well as ADA parking spaces for vehicles displaying the appropriate permit.
A rideshare zone is also planned for passenger drop-off and pick-up, with its location marked on the final festival map. Overnight parking is not permitted without an appropriate camping package or additional camping parking option.
Because Florida Horse Park is a large outdoor complex, arrival time should account for entering the park, security screening and finding your designated festival zone.
Camping extends the festival to three nights
Camping access covers three nights, from the day before the first festival day until the morning after the festival ends. Check-in is scheduled for Thursday from 8:00 AM to midnight and Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Festival admission is not included in the camping package and must be purchased separately.
Camping allows re-entry between the campsite and festival grounds, access to General Store amenities and food options, as well as additional programming in the Fan Zone. In 2026, that zone gains a second stage connected with the Raised Rowdy concept, so the music program is not limited only to the main festival grounds.
Each campsite accommodates one vehicle and one camping unit. Once parked, the vehicle in the campsite cannot freely enter and exit during the weekend. A separate area outside the campsite is available for additional vehicles. The organizer does not guarantee adjacent spaces for groups arriving separately.
What you can bring in and what should stay outside the festival
Rules governing what may be brought in are particularly important because visitors without camping do not have unrestricted re-entry during the day. One standard folding chair per person is allowed, but it must be brought in without a bag or cover. The bag itself does not have to be clear, but it is inspected upon entry.
- Empty reusable plastic water bottles and up to 2 factory-sealed bottles of water per person are allowed.
- Mobile phones and portable chargers are allowed.
- Non-aerosol sunscreen is allowed.
- An empty personal soft-sided cooler is allowed.
- Outside food and drinks, tents, umbrellas and wagons are not allowed.
- Professional cameras, GoPro devices and audio recording equipment are not allowed.
- Pets are not allowed, except service animals.
Free water stations are announced for the grounds. An ADA platform with a wheelchair ramp is planned for people requiring an accessible view of the stage, and golf-cart-style transportation from the ADA parking area to the entrance is planned.
Food, drinks and additional amenities
GA access includes the ability to use festival areas with food and bars, festival merchandise sales and activations. In the camping area, additional content is provided by the Fan Zone, while local tourist information for the Ocala edition also mentions games such as cornhole.
Differences between the zones are also visible in the food offering. GA and GA+ have their own purchasing options, VIP has an expanded offering associated with David Bancroft, while Front Porch includes dinner and non-alcoholic beverages. This is an important difference for visitors choosing a package based on the level of comfort rather than solely on the distance from the stage.
Who will find the Ocala edition most appealing
Audiences who follow country music across several generations get a broad cross-section here. Brooks & Dunn, Shenandoah and Mark Chesnutt represent a connection with earlier periods of modern country, Blake Shelton and Jon Pardi bring the major concert recognition of a newer era, while Hudson Westbrook, McCoy Moore, Sadie Bass and other younger names broaden the lineup toward the current scene.
The festival is open to all age groups, so it can also work as a family outing, provided that the length of the day, standing areas and the single-entry rule for visitors who are not camping are taken into account in advance. For a first visit, it is especially useful to know that a standard GA ticket does not mean a seat, but that one standard chair per person may be brought in under festival rules.
For campers, the stay begins before the first concert day and ends after the second. For single-day visitors, the most important thing is to plan arrival time, parking and the items they bring with them carefully.
