By car, the area is approached from the A1 and M1 via the M18. Standard parking uses the main car park next to Yorkshire Hive/Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Wild Live also offers pre-booked parking closer to the concert field, but vehicles using that area must be parked before the access road closes at 15:00. The main car park is approximately a 20-minute walk through the park from the concert field.
For passengers arriving by train, the nearest station is Doncaster Station. Yorkshire Wildlife Park states that the park is around six miles by taxi from the railway and bus interchange in Doncaster. First Bus South Yorkshire route 357 connects Doncaster Interchange with Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Yorkshire Hive, with an hourly service from Monday to Sunday.
There are two drop-off and pick-up zones for taxis. The point closer to the concert field uses access via Warning Tongue Lane, while the other is at Yorkshire Hive, from where visitors should allow approximately 25 minutes to walk. For the journey home after the concert, the organiser states that taxis can use a designated pick-up point from 21:15.
Accessibility and returning after the concert
A dedicated parking area near the concert field is provided for people with a Blue Badge. The accessible raised viewing area has limited capacity and must be arranged in advance. The organiser also states that vehicles using the Blue Badge parking area must arrive no later than 15:00.
Vehicles in the car park next to the concert field may be held until the area has cleared and the organisers determine that it is safe to reopen traffic. This can extend the return journey, so it is not advisable to plan tight train or other transport connections immediately after the music ends.
Who will find this concert particularly interesting
The most obvious audience is listeners who discovered Scouting For Girls in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
