UNTOLD uses the wider area around the stadium and park, with several stages, entrance zones, food and drink points and circulation corridors.
A large open arena and a three-member line-up create an interesting relationship. Closer to the front, it is easier to follow the musicians' interaction, while more distant sections depend more on screens and the sound system. For hearing details, a position toward the centre of the stage, outside the densest front wave, is reasonable. Since Sting performs in the early evening, natural light may still be present at the beginning of the set.
Ticket sales for this event are ongoing. The four-day format requires planning the return to the accommodation and re-entry the following day.
Entry, wristbands and rules that can speed up arrival
Access to the festival grounds begins at 16:00 each day. For visitors with a GA wristband, Central Park, near the Hungarian Opera, is listed as the entrance. To collect and verify access, visitors should prepare the QR code from their user account and an identity card or passport. Minors need the appropriate consent, while those under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult throughout the festival.
A day ticket is valid from 16:00 to 05:00 for the selected festival day, while a four-day pass is valid throughout the entire festival. The rules currently allow a maximum of two entries in one day, so leaving the grounds should be planned carefully. This is important for visitors considering returning to their accommodation between concerts.
Before the security check, it is useful to review several specific restrictions:
- the maximum permitted size of a bag or backpack is 29 x 21 x 12 centimetres
- water, sprays and pets are not permitted
- medical documentation is required for certain medicines and special food needed because of an allergy or intolerance
- only mirrorless camera models are permitted, while DSLR equipment is not allowed
- lockers are located beside the access zone, but on-site availability may depend on demand
For the 18:55 time slot, arriving immediately before the start is not recommended. Queues for wristbands, security checks and movement through the complex may take time.
Travelling through the city and current public transport changes
Cluj Arena is close enough to the city centre that walking from the central districts is often easier than attempting to park in the immediate vicinity. During preparations for UNTOLD 2026, traffic changes were introduced around Central Park. Lines 26, 26L, 27, 28, 28B, 41 and 44 operate on altered routes, while the Cluj Arena, Parcul Central, Opera Maghiara and Splaiul Independenței stops are temporarily out of service on the affected routes. The changes have been announced until August 17 at 04:30.
For this reason, it is not enough to rely on the usual public transport map saved earlier. On the day of arrival, visitors should check the current route, select the nearest active stop and allow additional time for walking. A car is not a practical choice for the final part of the journey toward the arena because traffic restrictions and the large concentration of visitors reduce the advantage of private transport.
Travellers arriving by air can use lines A1E, 5 and 8 from Cluj "Avram Iancu" International Airport toward the city. Under normal conditions, the journey to the centre takes approximately 30 minutes, but festival traffic may extend the arrival time. The safest option is to reach the accommodation first, leave larger luggage there and head toward the festival with only a permitted bag, documents, a telephone and essential items.
A practical schedule for the first festival day
- before departure, check the schedule of Sting's performance and any changes
- arrive in the festival zone sufficiently after the opening at 16:00, but well before 18:55
- prepare the QR code and identification document before reaching the security check
- after entering, immediately locate the Main stage, exits, sanitary facilities and the wristband top-up point
- agree on a meeting point with the group because the mobile network may be slower in a large crowd
- for the return journey, do not rely on stops that have been temporarily suspended
It is worth securing tickets in time and then planning the logistics just as seriously. Sting's set begins early enough to leave visitors room to continue their festival evening, but precisely for that reason, being late may mean missing a significant part of the performance.
What to expect from the atmosphere
Sting's catalogue contains songs for mass singing, but also compositions during which the audience must reduce its conversation so that the details of the guitar, bass and vocals can be heard. This change in dynamics may define the first festival day.
"STING 3.0" is not conceived as a reconstruction of a The Police concert or as a standard review of hits with a large backing band.
