After an extensive modernisation during 2024, it reopened on February 1, 2025. An active QR code in the Stockholm Live app is required, and the entrance that should be used is displayed on the ticket itself. People with accessible seating should use entrance 2 or 6, according to the indication on the ticket. An area in front of Quality Hotel Globe is designated for dropping off and picking up passengers who use organised transport, from where a lift provides access to the square in front of the arena.
How to get to the Arena
Avicii Arena is located in Johanneshov, south of central Stockholm. For most visitors, the underground is the simplest option. Green lines 17, 18 and 19 connect the area with T-Centralen, the main transport hub in the city centre. The nearest station is Globen, but greater pressure on the platforms and access routes can be expected after the concert.
Gullmarsplan is an important alternative because it connects the metro, tram and several bus lines and is approximately a five-minute walk from the arena. SkÀrmarbrink, BlÄsut, Sandsborg and Enskede gÄrd are also located within a wider walking radius. Choosing another station may be more practical after the event ends, when a large number of people leave the venue at the same time.
Arriving on foot is also a realistic option. The route from Södermalm across Skanstullsbron takes about 20 minutes and leads directly towards the arena complex. Visitors arriving by train or an airport service usually reach Stockholm Centralstation, which is connected to T-Centralen station, from where the journey continues on the green metro line.
Arriving by car and parking
The arena recommends public transport because construction work in the surrounding area makes access more difficult, while traffic and parking become challenging as the start of the programme approaches. Globen Shopping has around 1,500 parking spaces, while Arenagaraget beneath 3Arena has around 650. Both facilities can fill up quickly. For travellers who nevertheless arrive by car, a more practical option may be to park at an outlying location and continue by public transport.
After the concert, it is useful not to plan a tight onward journey. The expected ending is around 21:30, but leaving the sections, security flows and crowds at the stations may prolong the return to the city centre. Visitors with a late train or flight should leave additional time in reserve.
Food, drinks and time before the start
The entrances open an hour and a half before the performance, leaving enough time for the security check, finding seats and having a short meal. Garden Bar & Restaurant and the Legends bar are open from 18:00 to 21:00. Kiosks offering light food, snacks and drinks are distributed throughout the venue. Visitors with floor seats also have access to a bar at arena-floor level until 21:30.
Because visitors may not bring their own food and drinks inside, it is useful to decide whether to eat before arrival or within the complex. Tables in the restaurants cannot be reserved. Merchandise connected with the tour will be available near entrance 2, so purchases should be planned before the start or with enough time to avoid missing the opening of the concert.
Stockholm as part of a concert trip
The concert takes place on a Friday evening, making it easier to combine the event with a short stay in Stockholm. The arena is close enough to Södermalm for visitors to spend time in that part of the city before the performance and then arrive on foot or by public transport. Gamla stan, the central city waterfronts and the museum island of DjurgÄrden are located in other parts of the city, but are connected by metro, buses, trams and ferries.
For visitors coming only because of the concert, logistics are crucial: accommodation along the green metro line reduces the number of transfers, while staying near T-Centralen makes arrival from the main railway station and the onward journey to the arena easier. Kravitz's performance in Stockholm is appealing precisely because it brings together several generations and musical circles. Some of the audience come because of the albums "5", "Mama Said" or "Are You Gonna Go My Way", some because of the newer material, and others because of the reputation of a performer who remains an active guitarist, singer and bandleader on stage.
