Parking is not included in the ticket, and the number of spaces around the location is limited. The organizers recommend public transport, taxis or festival transport options. Bus lines 10, 15, 17, 22, 37 and 44 stop nearby. After the final performance, high demand for transport should be expected, so it is useful to determine a meeting point with the group and an alternative route to the accommodation in advance.
Plovdiv is the second-largest city in Bulgaria and is well connected by road, bus and railway. Plovdiv International Airport is around 10 kilometers from the city, while Sofia Airport is around 130 kilometers away. The main railway station is located at 46 Hristo Botev Blvd., close to the southern bus station, from where the journey to the festival area must be continued by public transport or taxi.
A three-day visit can be combined with a tour of the Old Town, the Ancient Theatre, the Roman Stadium and the Kapana district. A morning tour should be planned with enough time for rest before the evening program.
Entry rules worth checking before departure
The festival inspection at the entrance may take time, and some items are not permitted. Bags and backpacks larger than 15 liters, or approximately 35 x 25 x 12 centimeters, cannot be brought inside. Umbrellas are not allowed, so a lightweight raincoat is more practical for rain. Glass bottles, aerosol containers, professional photographic equipment, GoPro cameras, selfie sticks, chairs and large items are prohibited.
One plastic bottle of water of up to 0.5 liters per person is permitted, with the cap removed at the entrance.
