UNTOLD ONE in Cluj-Napoca: guide to the third festival day
UNTOLD returns to Cluj-Napoca in 2026 under the name UNTOLD ONE, a concept with which the festival opens a new decade after its first edition, held in 2015. The programme runs from 6 to 9 August, with Cluj Arena and the Central Park area once again forming the centre of the events. The festival is announcing more than 200 performers spread across nine stages, meaning that the experience is not limited to one large stadium performance, but involves moving simultaneously between pop, EDM, house, techno, hip-hop, drum and bass, and calmer electronic formats.
For visitors with a one-day ticket for Saturday, 8 August, the most important thing is to understand that the "third day" continues deep into the night and carries over into the early morning of 9 August. Entry to the festival grounds begins at 16:00, and the one-day ticket is valid until 05:00. This means that Tujamo, Mau P, Shimza and Holy Priest are part of Saturday's festival programme even though their performances begin after midnight.

What distinguishes UNTOLD from a traditional stadium festival
UNTOLD's identity comes from the combination of enormous production on the Main Stage and a series of stages with considerably narrower musical profiles. Cluj Arena takes on the role of the visual and sound centre, but the festival extends into the surrounding park and urban space. In a single evening, a visitor can therefore move from the concert pop of Lewis Capaldi to the melodic house of Lost Frequencies, then to the stadium EDM set of Martin Garrix, and afterwards continue towards the tech-house and techno programme at Galaxy.
The UNTOLD ONE concept marks the beginning of a new phase for the festival, with an emphasis on stage design, lighting production and the different visual identities of the stages. The Main Stage attracts the broadest audience, Galaxy focuses on club and techno sounds, Alchemy connects rap, trap and drum and bass, while Daydreaming offers a more melodic and atmospheric electronic programme.
Main programme on the Main Stage
Saturday's schedule on the Main Stage is structured as a transition from a local cultural programme towards international pop and an electronic finale. According to the published timetable, the order is as follows:

Lewis Capaldi brings a concert format focused on vocals, piano and songs for singing together, before MËSTIZA introduces a blend of electronic music and Spanish influences. Lost Frequencies continues with melodic house, while Martin Garrix takes over the 23:30 slot with a full stadium production. Tujamo begins at 01:15 and closes the main Saturday sequence with more energetic festival house.
Galaxy, Alchemy and Daydreaming as three different evenings
The biggest mistake on a first visit would be trying to follow only the Main Stage. Saturday's programme on the other stages is strong enough for the evening to be arranged in several completely different ways.
Galaxy is the choice for an audience that wants a continuous club flow. Budai House Clique performs at 18:00, Marwan Dua at 19:15, and Joseph Capriati at 21:00. Solomun takes over the stage at 22:45, after which Mau P begins at 00:45. Holy Priest arrives at 02:45 and leads the programme towards a harder end to the night. This schedule means that Solomun's and Mau P's slots will overlap with the main stadium performances, so the decision between Galaxy and the Main Stage should be made before entering the busiest part of the evening.
Alchemy offers a different path. Petre Ștefan performs at 17:15, Guess Who at 18:10, and DELIRIC X SILENT STRIKE X MUSE ORCHESTRA at 19:15. Denzel Curry takes the stage at 20:15, while Camo & Krooked begin at 21:25. In just a few hours, the stage moves from Romanian rap and orchestrally arranged hip-hop to an American rap performance and a drum and bass finale. It is the most pronounced genre alternative to the pop and EDM programme in the stadium.
Daydreaming is more suitable for visitors who want more space and a more gradual development of the set. Caleesi & Kreis begin at 17:30, Lee Burridge at 21:30, Tinlicker DJ Set at 23:00, and Shimza at 01:00. Instead of constant short changes between major names, this stage places emphasis on longer transitions, melodic house and an atmosphere that develops throughout the entire evening.

Cluj Arena and Central Park as a single festival zone
UNTOLD takes place in the central part of Cluj-Napoca, next to Cluj Arena, Central Park "Simion Bărnuțiu" and the Someșul Mic River. This is not a festival isolated in a distant field, but an event integrated into the urban space. Central Park is normally one of the city's main promenades, with a lake and the Casino building, but during the festival it becomes a network of passageways, stages, food and drink zones, wristband top-up points and spaces for resting between performances.
Cluj Arena gives the Main Stage a stadium-like vertical dimension and controlled entrances, while the park allows constant circulation between the smaller stages. In practice, this means a great deal of walking and occasional bottlenecks when a major performance ends. Extra time should be allowed for moving from the Main Stage to Galaxy or Alchemy, especially before slots that attract different sections of the audience at the same time.
The festival uses the area around the Hungarian Opera as the main access point from Central Park. Visitors with a General Access wristband enter through this route, while a VIP wristband allows the use of a separate VIP line at the same entrance. Since the layout of the zones can be followed more easily on the festival map, it is useful to mark two or three key stages, lockers and the exit through which you plan to leave the grounds before arriving.
One-day, multi-day and VIP tickets
The UNTOLD Pass allows one person to enter during all four festival days. A one-day ticket is valid only for the selected festival day, from 16:00 until 05:00. For Saturday's programme, this includes performances after midnight that are marked in the schedule as part of the third day.
The VIP offer includes an elevated platform overlooking the Main Stage, a separate entrance line, a premium bar and a dining and cocktail area, along with access to the other public festival zones.
When choosing a one-day ticket, the exact day should be checked, because a Saturday ticket cannot be exchanged for another festival date. A four-day pass gives greater flexibility to visitors who want to compare different days and stages.
Wristband, entry and payments inside the festival
To collect the wristband, it is necessary to show the ticket's QR code and an original identity document or passport. Minors must also have the appropriate parental consent. The wristband is also used as a means of payment inside the grounds, and the balance can be topped up online or at festival Credit Points locations. Cash and cards are accepted at these points.
A visitor may enter the grounds no more than twice during one festival day, which is important for anyone planning to leave for a rest or return to their accommodation. Lockers are located next to the access point, but because of bag-size restrictions, it is best to choose the contents of your luggage before arriving.

Entry rules that can change the evening's plan
The maximum permitted size for luggage or a backpack is 29 x 21 x 12 centimetres. Pets are not allowed. Water cannot be brought in from outside, but it is available in the food court areas. Sprays are not permitted, and flags may only be brought in without a pole. Mirrorless cameras are permitted as photographic equipment, while DSLR equipment is not allowed.
Medicines require additional attention. Coated tablets may be brought in, while medical documentation is required for other types of tablets. Insulin and asthma inhalers are permitted with a doctor's certificate or a similar document and in the quantity required for one day. People with allergies or intolerances may bring special food with medical proof.
Children under seven years of age have free access, but older minors need a ticket, an identification document and parental consent. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult throughout their entire stay. Hearing-protection headphones are mandatory for children under three.
Arriving from the city and the airport
Avram Iancu International Airport is connected to the city by bus routes A1E, 5 and 8, and the journey between the airport and the city centre normally takes about 30 minutes. Travellers arriving on the day of the event should allow extra time because of festival traffic, security checks and wristband collection.
Temporary changes to public transport have been introduced in the Central Park area. Bus routes 26, 26L, 27, 28, 28B, 41 and 44 operate on diverted routes, while the Cluj Arena and Parcul Central stops are temporarily out of service. Tram routes 102 and 102L have been suspended since 3 August, and on route 101A trams are being replaced by buses running on an altered route.
Because of these changes, relying on an old map or previous experience of the city is not sufficient. The most practical approach is to check the current route immediately before departure, get off several stops farther away and complete the final part of the journey on foot. Arriving by car in the immediate vicinity of Cluj Arena is less predictable because of closed streets and diverted traffic, so parking should not be the only plan.
How to arrange the evening without constantly running between stages
For a first visit, it is useful to choose one "anchor" performance and then add two or three flexible slots around it. A visitor who wants to see Lewis Capaldi at 18:55 can listen to Petre Ștefan at Alchemy beforehand, return to the Main Stage for MËSTIZA and then choose between Martin Garrix, Solomun or Tinlicker DJ Set. Another option is an evening outside the stadium: Alchemy until Camo & Krooked, then Galaxy for Solomun and Mau P, followed by a finale with Holy Priest.
The timetable is also available in the festival application, where a personal schedule can be created. This is more practical than relying on a screenshot of the entire programme, especially if a slot changes. Time should also be allowed for security checks, topping up the wristband, food, water and leaving the busiest zones after the main performances.
It is worth securing tickets in good time.
Cluj-Napoca between arrival and the start of the programme
Cluj-Napoca is a university city in Transylvania with a compact centre, so much of the route between accommodation, the old town and the festival zone can be covered on foot. Central Park is located along the western edge of the inner city centre, and its promenades, lake and Casino form a recognisable landmark even outside festival days.
Visitors arriving early should bear in mind that access to the grounds begins at 16:00. The morning and early afternoon are more suitable for collecting the wristband, checking the route, eating outside the festival zone and resting before a programme that continues until dawn. Accommodation in the centre or beside a direct public transport route makes the return journey easier, but it is equally important to check the night-time route in advance after the desired performances have ended.
