Arriving by car requires more planning, especially in August. Pula's parking system changed on April 1, 2026, and the city centre was divided into new zones. The Karolina car park, located directly in front of the Arena, operates under a special regime outside the standard city zones. During the summer period it normally operates 24 hours a day, but its immediate proximity to a major concert venue means availability on the day of the event should not be taken for granted.
It is more practical to allow for parking somewhat farther away from the amphitheatre and walk the final part of the route. This avoids the greatest concentration of vehicles after the programme ends, when a large number of visitors leave the same part of the city at the same time.
Public transport should also be checked immediately before the concert. During several concerts at the Arena in the summer of 2026, Pulapromet temporarily changed routes and skipped the "Arena" and "Flavijevska ulica" stops, redirecting buses toward the waterfront and the Bus Station. Weather conditions should also be taken into account. The Arena is an open-air venue, and mid-August in Pula can mean a very warm day even when the concert is scheduled for the evening. Arriving sufficiently early reduces the need to rush through the city centre, especially for visitors who first need to find parking or are arriving from another city.
Pula before and after the concert
For visitors travelling solely because of Lorde, one advantage of the location is that the Arena is not an isolated concert complex on the outskirts of the city. The most interesting part of the Pula concert is not merely the opportunity to hear "Royals", "Green Light" or current songs from "Virgin".
