Planning UNTOLD ONE in Cluj-Napoca? The festival takes over Cluj Arena and Central Park on 7 August with Kygo, Marshmello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Swae Lee and more. Plan your ticket purchase, check wristband collection, entrances, transport changes and entry rules before you arrive

UNTOLD ONE opens a new chapter for the festival in Cluj-Napoca

UNTOLD returns to Cluj-Napoca from 6 to 9 August 2026 with an edition called UNTOLD ONE. The concept is envisioned as a new beginning after the festival's first decade: the production and visual identity once again draw on fantasy iconography, the Transylvanian setting and the idea of a city that, over four days, transforms into an interconnected network of stages, rest areas, food, drinks and accompanying activities.

The festival does not take place only in the stadium. The venue is spread between Cluj Arena and Central Park "Simion Bărnuțiu", so the experience shifts between a stadium spectacle, open-air dance floors and smaller themed stages.

UNTOLD ranked third in the 2026 edition of DJ Mag's Top 100 Festivals list. Such a position reflects not only the scale of the production but also its distinctive programming model: global pop and hip-hop names share the evening with leading performers from EDM, house, techno, drum and bass and the regional scene.

Tickets for this event are in high demand. Visitors coming only on Friday should make sure they have a ticket marked for the second festival day, because single-day products cannot be used on another day.

Friday brings a transition from pop and hip-hop to late-night electronic music

The programme on 7 August demonstrates the breadth of UNTOLD particularly well. During the evening, the Main Stage moves from regional rap and international hip-hop to pop, melodic electronic music and stadium EDM. At the same time, Galaxy presents an all-night UNTOLD x Zamna programme, while Alchemy creates a different arc through rap and drum and bass.

According to the currently published schedule, the key part of the Main Stage programme looks like this:

  • Puya opens the main part of Friday with a performance by the regional rap artist.
  • Swae Lee performs at 16:35 and brings a combination of hip-hop, pop and melodic trap sounds.
  • Zara Larsson takes the stage at 18:20 with a catalogue of modern pop and dance singles.
  • Kygo performs at 20:05, with his recognisable combination of tropical house, pop vocals and large-scale festival arrangements.
  • Sebastian Ingrosso takes over the stage at 21:40 and moves the evening towards a more powerful house and EDM tempo.
  • Marshmello performs at 23:40, after which the programme continues beyond midnight.
  • Tchami closes Friday's main sequence with a performance at 01:15 on Saturday morning.

The timetable should be checked once again in the app before entering, especially if movement between the Main Stage, Galaxy and Alchemy is planned.

Galaxy: UNTOLD x Zamna in a single nighttime programme

On Friday, the Galaxy Stage receives a special identity through the UNTOLD x Zamna collaboration. The programme brings together Maceo Plex, GORDO, Arapu, Cristi Cons, Mihigh and Mihnea Rog. It is an evening focused on house, techno and a more minimal club sound, with dynamics different from those of the Main Stage.

Galaxy is designed as a continuous nighttime flow, so it makes more sense to stay for a longer period rather than use it only as a brief stop between performances on the Main Stage.

Alchemy: rap, the local scene and drum and bass

On Friday, Alchemy includes Erika Isac, IDK, M.G.L., Alex Velea & Madatoricelli, Paraziții, bbno$ and Pendulum DJ Set. In this way, the festival connects contemporary regional hip-hop, international alternative rap and a finale focused on drum and bass within a single zone.

Pendulum DJ Set is scheduled for 21:10 in the published timetable. This places it in direct overlap with part of the programme on the Main Stage and Galaxy, so fans of harder rhythms will have to choose between several very different festival directions.

Nine stages, not just one main spectacle

UNTOLD 2026 lists around 200 performers and nine stages. In addition to the Main Stage, Galaxy and Alchemy, the programme extends to Daydreaming, Time, Tram, Retro, FORM and Soul Circle. Each of these zones has a clearer function than may appear at first glance.

Daydreaming is better suited to a more gradual, atmospheric development of a set. Retro is intended for more familiar hits and a nostalgic dance repertoire. FORM relies more heavily on club performers and local selectors. Tram is a compact, mobile and visually different point within the complex. The Soul Circle schedule includes activities such as Pilates and expressive dance workshops, demonstrating that the daytime part of the festival is not limited only to DJ performances.

One person may spend the entire evening in front of the Main Stage, while another will spend most of the time at Galaxy, Alchemy or the smaller stages. First-time visitors often underestimate how many different programmes take place in parallel.

Places disappear quickly. It is worth deciding in advance whether the priority is one major performer, the entire programme of a particular stage or moving through several genres during the night.

Cluj Arena and Central Park create a festival city within the city

Cluj Arena is located at Aleea Stadionului 2 and has a capacity of 30,201 seats in its stadium configuration. The new stadium was completed in 2011 on the site of the former Ion Moina Stadium. During UNTOLD, the stands, pitch, access routes and surrounding zones become the centre of the Main Stage production, while the rest of the programme spreads into the neighbouring park.

Central Park "Simion Bărnuțiu" is one of the most recognisable green spaces in Cluj-Napoca. It contains a lake and the historic Casino building, and during the festival the park functions as a corridor between the music, hospitality and partner zones. The trees, paths and open lawns give the space a different rhythm from the stadium: a few minutes after the large-scale production on the Main Stage, a visitor can find themselves at a smaller stage with a more intimate sound.

The area is large, the audience moves in waves and the shortest route is not always the fastest. It is useful to look at the map in advance, remember the main entrance and agree on a meeting point with the group.

Single-day, four-day and VIP offers do not provide the same experience

A single-day ticket for Friday is valid only for the second festival day. According to the published rules, the festival day for such a ticket lasts from 16:00 until 05:00 the following morning. The four-day GA Pass provides access to the stages and public zones during all four days, including Food & Drinks and activation areas, but it does not include the backstage area, Artist Village or VIP platforms.

VIP Mainstage adds a separate entrance and an elevated platform with a better view of the main stage. Galaxy Backstage, for people over the age of 18, provides access to the backstage zone beside Galaxy. Ultimate VIP includes lounge areas, priority entrance, a concierge and additional programmes. GA provides the complete public music programme, while VIP primarily changes visibility, entry and access to separate zones.

The wristband, identification document and online check-in are essential before entry

To collect the wristband, visitors must have an active online check-in, the ticket's QR code and an original identification document. A wristband cannot be collected for another person and is placed directly on the owner's wrist. For single-day tickets, the wristband may be collected only on the day for which the ticket is valid.

The main collection point in Cluj-Napoca is located in Central Park "Simion Bărnuțiu". From 6 to 9 August, it operates from 15:00 to 03:00. Visitors with a GA wristband enter through the access point near the Hungarian Opera, while VIP has a separate line in the same entrance area. Entry to the festival grounds begins at 16:00.

Two entries are permitted during one festival day. This means that leaving the complex is not unlimited, so a decision to return to the accommodation or the city should be planned. The wristband is also used for payment: it can be topped up in advance or at Credit Point locations, where cash and cards are accepted.

What may be brought in and what must remain outside the festival grounds

The entry rules should be checked before departure, especially if a visitor is carrying equipment, medication or special food. The published instructions state the following:

  • the maximum permitted size of a bag or backpack is 29 x 21 x 12 centimetres;
  • pets are not permitted;
  • water may not be brought in and is available in the food court zones;
  • sprays are not permitted;
  • flags are permitted only without a pole;
  • special food required because of an allergy or intolerance is permitted with medical evidence;
  • certain medicines and inhalers require a medical certificate or similar document;
  • mirrorless camera models are permitted, while DSLR cameras are not permitted;
  • lockers are located beside the entrance zone.

Additional rules apply to minors. Children under the age of seven have free entry, people aged seven to 18 require parental consent, and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.

Arrival from the airport and changes to city transport

Avram Iancu Cluj International Airport is connected to the city centre by lines A1E, 5 and 8. The estimated journey to the central area takes about 26 minutes, after which visitors should continue towards Central Park and Cluj Arena.

Changes to city transport around the park have been introduced during the preparation and operation of the festival. Lines 26, 26L, 27, 28, 28B, 41 and 44 operate on altered routes, while the Cluj Arena and Parcul Central stops are temporarily out of service. From 3 August, tram services on lines 102 and 102L have been suspended, while part of the connection has been replaced by buses on line 101A.

Because of traffic restrictions, visitors should not expect easy parking beside the stadium. The city has a Park & Ride facility at Traian Vuia and several public car parks, but availability changes quickly. Public transport, a taxi or a transfer followed by the final part of the journey on foot are often more practical.

How to organise the evening without unnecessary running between stages

A first visit to UNTOLD is easier when the programme is divided into three levels of priority. The first consists of performances that the visitor does not want to miss. The second consists of stages where it is preferable to spend a longer period. The third consists of activities that can be visited along the way, without pressure to arrive at an exact starting time.

One plan can begin with Swae Lee and Zara Larsson, continue with Kygo and then split between Sebastian Ingrosso, the UNTOLD x Zamna programme and Pendulum DJ Set. An alternative is to devote the entire later part of the evening to Galaxy or follow Alchemy through to the drum and bass finale.

The Food & Drinks zones are best used before the largest evening overlaps. It is useful to eat, top up the wristband and agree on a meeting point before the crowds following the major performances.

Ticket sales for this event are under way. Before arrival, visitors should check the day name on the ticket, complete online check-in, save the QR code and bring an original document.

Brief check before departure

  • Check that the ticket is valid for Friday, 7 August.
  • Complete online check-in before collecting the wristband.
  • Bring an original identification document and, if necessary, parental or medical documentation.
  • Use a bag within the permitted dimensions.
  • Save the festival schedule and map in the app.
  • Check city transport changes on the day of arrival.
  • Choose a meeting point with the group and keep in mind the limit of two entries per day.

Friday at UNTOLD ONE is not a programme centred on a single headliner. Its main value lies in the choice between pop, hip-hop, stadium EDM, the Zamna house and techno programme and the rap and drum and bass line-up at Alchemy. Visitors who set several fixed points in advance but leave enough room to change their plan when another stage attracts them will have the best experience.
