Tove Lo announces Australian leg of "ESTRUS" tour for 2027: four concerts in March
Swedish pop singer and songwriter Tove Lo is returning to Australia in March 2027 with the "ESTRUS" tour, connected to her sixth studio album of the same name. According to the schedule published by Live Nation Australia and Secret Sounds, the tour will cover four cities: Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The first concert is scheduled for March 1 in Brisbane, while the Australian leg ends six days later in Perth. Australian pop artist SALTY will appear as a special guest on all four dates. The announcement comes just one week before the planned release of the album "ESTRUS", which, according to Tove Lo's official website, is due to be released on September 18, 2026.
"Australia, I'm coming back! It will be sweatier, dirtier and more emotional than ever," Tove Lo said alongside the tour announcement, as reported by Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand in a report published on September 10. The sentence neatly sums up the stage identity of an artist who, over more than a decade of her career, has built a recognizable combination of dance-pop, candid lyrics and concerts strongly driven by the energy of the audience. The Australian shows will be part of the broader "ESTRUS" world tour, which begins in the United States in September 2026 and then continues through Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. According to the Margaret Court Arena calendar, the Australian concerts come several months after those legs and will be among Tove Lo's first major tour dates of 2027.
Brisbane opens the tour, with an outdoor finale in Perth
The published schedule begins on Monday, March 1, 2027, with a performance at The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane. Two days later, on Wednesday, March 3, Tove Lo moves to Melbourne, where the concert is scheduled at Margaret Court Arena. Sydney is on the schedule for Friday, March 5, at Hordern Pavilion, one of the city's better-known concert venues. The final Australian stop will be Perth on Sunday, March 7, at Ice Cream Factory Outdoor. According to the promoters' currently published itinerary, other Australian destinations, including Adelaide, are not currently part of the announced route.

The promoters have not yet announced the final performance times for all artists in every city, and door-opening and program start times may vary between venues. For example, Margaret Court Arena lists the program start at 7:30 p.m., while some other ticketing pages list their own entry or concert start times. For that reason, Live Nation warns that schedules are subject to change without prior notice. Visitors should therefore rely on information from the authorized ticket outlet for the specific city and date, particularly when it comes to entry rules, age restrictions, accessibility and any production changes.
Tickets: several presales before the general sale on September 15
Ticket sales are divided into several stages. According to information from Live Nation and Secret Sounds, the artist presale is scheduled from September 11, 2026 at 9 a.m. local time, with limited allocations available, while a Mastercard presale is listed for some cities. The Live Nation or Secret Sounds presale is announced for September 14 at 9 a.m. local time, while the general sale begins on September 15 at 10 a.m. local time. The exact selection of presales is not the same for every city, so organizers direct buyers to the official pages for each event.
Live Nation also lists restrictions on the number of tickets per transaction, while additional rules apply to VIP offers. Among the advertised packages is an early-entry option for visitors with floor tickets, together with a commemorative VIP package, while Melbourne also has an announced option with a premium reserved seat. At the same time, organizers warn buyers to purchase tickets through authorized sales channels, as they do not guarantee the validity of tickets from unauthorized resale websites. Prices, availability and venue configuration may change as the concert date approaches.
"ESTRUS" arrives on September 18 and opens a new chapter
The Australian leg of the tour is directly linked to "ESTRUS", Tove Lo's sixth studio album and the follow-up to 2022's "Dirt Femme". The artist's official website lists September 18, 2026 as the release date, while her online store has published a 13-track list. Among the songs listed are the already introduced tracks "I'm Your Girl Right?", "Des Fleurs x Stromae" and "DNH", as well as the titles "A Lot of Feelings, No Solutions", "If I Could I Would", "F.A.M.T", "I'm the Cake", "The Bad One", "Die for My Art With a Lonely Heart", "Are We on a Break", "Idiot", "Roomie" and "Source of Life". The album is being released through her own label Pretty Swede Records, in collaboration with Virgin Music Group, according to an announcement published by NME in May.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand, Tove Lo described the making of the album as a process that began after a period of creative block. According to her, the first sessions in Los Angeles in late 2024 did not produce material she was satisfied with, so she returned to working on the album several months later in an area on Sweden's west coast where she spent summers while growing up. Part of the album was also created in Stockholm, and the key collaborators include longtime producer Ludvig Söderberg, as well as Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser. Belgian musician Stromae also appears on the album, featuring on the song "Des Fleurs x Stromae".
Tove Lo connects the title "ESTRUS" with the idea of instinct, desire and emotional contradiction. In the album announcement, as reported by Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand, she explained that the project starts from the conflict between what the mind and body want and from the feeling that an adult does not necessarily have to have ready answers for their own life. This approach builds on themes that have marked much of her catalogue: sexuality, vulnerability, romantic relationships, self-perception and impulses that do not always fit neatly into tidy pop narratives. In a May interview, she also spoke about the pressure for women to become more predictable and have their lives more "sorted out" as they age, while the new album was conceived precisely as the opposite response to such expectations.
From "Habits (Stay High)" to her own record label
Tove Lo achieved her international breakthrough in the mid-2010s. Her 2014 debut album "Queen of the Clouds" produced the globally recognizable singles "Habits (Stay High)" and "Talking Body", and in the years that followed she strengthened her position as an artist who combines commercial pop with darker electronic production and highly personal lyrics. Her catalogue later included singles such as "Cool Girl", "Disco Tits", "Glad He's Gone" and "No One Dies From Love", while at the same time she collaborated with artists from the pop and electronic music scenes.
An important part of her songwriting identity also developed outside her own albums. In its biographical materials, Live Nation highlights collaborations with artists such as Nick Jonas, Flume, Charli XCX, Alesso, Coldplay and Major Lazer, while Tove Lo also has significant songwriting credits for other pop artists. Her path toward greater creative control culminated in the founding of her own record label, Pretty Swede Records, through which she released "Dirt Femme" in 2022. In an interview with NME that year, she explained that having her own label gave her the final say on creative decisions, but also brought greater responsibility for the business side of the release. "ESTRUS" therefore continues a period in which she has greater influence over how her music is released and presented to audiences.
Between "Dirt Femme" and the new album, Tove Lo continued to build her connection with the club and dance-pop scene. In 2024, she released the EP "HEAT" with British producer and musician SG Lewis, a project strongly oriented toward the dance floor. Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand, in its interview about "ESTRUS", singled out that project as an important stage between the two studio albums. The new material continues the electronic thread of her work, but according to the songs released so far and the artist's announcements, it once again relies strongly on personal and intimate themes.
Return after Australian performances in 2023
The "ESTRUS" tour marks Tove Lo's return to Australian stages after performances in 2023. ABC's triple j followed her appearance at the Splendour in the Grass festival at the time, where she performed a selection from her catalogue up to that point, including "Habits", "Disco Tits" and her Flume collaboration "Say It". That same year she was part of the Spin Off Festival lineup in Adelaide, and as part of her Australian dates she also held a concert in Sydney.
This time the concept is different because the Australian series is clearly presented as part of a standalone world tour connected to one new album. That means a larger share of material from "ESTRUS" can be expected, alongside songs from earlier stages of her career that have become regular parts of her concert sets. The final set list for the Australian dates has not been officially announced and could change during the tour. Since the world tour begins on September 15, 2026 in Nashville, audiences will already gain a clearer picture during the autumn concerts of the production and repertoire Tove Lo will bring to Australia in March.
SALTY as guest at all four concerts
SALTY will perform on all Australian dates, an artist from Sydney whom promoters present as one of the new names on the local pop scene. According to materials from Hordern Pavilion and triple j, she attracted attention with her debut EP "the other side" and the song "See U In 3", and during 2026 she continued releasing new material, including the singles "Touch Grass" and "The Eye". Triple j Unearthed places her work in the fields of pop, electronic music and indie, while "Touch Grass" received radio support on triple j and Unearthed during March 2026.
The choice of SALTY as a guest fits the profile of the tour because both artists start from contemporary pop but connect it with electronic production and highly personal songwriting. For SALTY, the four concerts in large Australian venues and at the outdoor venue in Perth will provide an opportunity to perform in front of the audience of an internationally established artist. For Tove Lo's audience, this means that all four dates will feature the same announced support act, giving the tour a consistent lineup from Brisbane to Perth.
Australian leg follows the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe
According to the published international dates, the "ESTRUS" tour begins on September 15, 2026 in Nashville, several days before the album's release. The American and Canadian legs also include announced performances in Chicago, Brooklyn, Toronto and Los Angeles, while the tour moves to Mexico in early October. Margaret Court Arena states that Tove Lo will also perform in the United Kingdom and other European countries before the Australian concerts. The Australian leg will therefore not be a promotional introduction but part of an already developed touring production that, by March 2027, will have several months of international performances behind it.
For now, four Australian concerts have been confirmed, with SALTY as special guest at each of them. Live Nation and Secret Sounds did not list any additional dates in the initial announcement, so it has not been officially confirmed whether the schedule will later be expanded. The most important next date for audiences is September 15, 2026, when the general ticket sale begins, while the album "ESTRUS" is expected three days later. Thus, within the space of one week, both sales for the Australian tour and a new recording chapter for Tove Lo will begin, with its concert continuation in Australia following in early March 2027.
