Baku Olympic Stadium is one of the largest and most recognizable sports venues in Azerbaijan. Opened in 2015, the stadium accommodates around 68,000 spectators, while its modern oval profile, expansive roof structure and membrane-clad exterior give it a distinctive appearance. It was designed for major international football and athletics competitions as well as other large-scale events requiring substantial capacity and modern infrastructure.
Inside, the venue is arranged around a spacious field and athletics track, with multi-level stands creating an impressive setting when the stadium is full. Covered seating areas, numerous entrances, food and beverage facilities and dedicated zones for different categories of visitors help manage movement and comfort during major events. Given the size of the stadium, checking the section and corresponding entrance shown on the ticket before arrival is recommended.
The stadium is located at Heydar Aliyev Ave. 323, Baku, Azerbaijan, beside one of the city's major transport corridors. The complex has substantial parking capacity, although parking availability may be restricted or specially regulated for individual events. Koroğlu metro station and the adjacent transport hub are next to the stadium area, with pedestrian routes continuing toward the designated entrances and seating sectors.
