Joško Gvardiol signs new contract with Manchester City until 2031
Joško Gvardiol has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester City, committing his future to the English club until the summer of 2031. The club officially announced the extension on July 28, 2026, emphasizing that it considers the 24-year-old Croatian international one of its key players for the period ahead. Gvardiol said he had no doubts when he learned that City wanted to renew his contract and that he feels valued in Manchester and fully focused on continuing his development. According to data published by the club, since arriving from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023, he has made 122 appearances, scored 13 goals and played a part in winning six major trophies. The new contract is therefore not only a reward for his contribution so far, but also a clear confirmation of the place he holds in Manchester City's long-term sporting project.

After signing, Gvardiol stated that he immediately knew what he wanted as soon as the club offered him an extension.
