Ajax - sc Heerenveen: guide to the match at Johan Cruijff ArenA
Ajax and sc Heerenveen meet in Amsterdam in the second round of the Eredivisie, in a match that comes very early in the season but can already show how prepared both teams are for the new campaign. Ajax can be expected to have more possession at home and a greater number of attacks against a set defence. Míchel has enough technically strong midfielders and wide players at his disposal to rotate positions around the opposition penalty area.
Godts can stretch the pitch and attack a defender one-on-one. Dolberg provides a central reference point, while Brandt, Oscar and Berghuis offer solutions between the lines. The involvement of the full-backs can additionally stretch Heerenveen's defence.
