Anderlecht finished the previous Belgian season in fourth place after the play-offs. The new league campaign has not yet begun, so the preparation programme was the only way for Vítor Bruno to develop the team’s understanding. Anderlecht drew with US Boulogne, defeated NEC and beat AZ Alkmaar 1:0 in their final warm-up match. The result against AZ is a particularly useful signal because it was achieved away from home and without conceding a goal.

Hammarby’s form: three victories and an attack that has found its rhythm

The most important change in Hammarby’s summer continuation is not only the number of points, but the way in which the team is increasingly breaking into the penalty area. The arena has a retractable roof, and the organiser decides whether it will be open or closed.

Hammarby’s supporters are known for large choreographies and a loud supporters’ stand. On a European night, that effect becomes stronger because everyone is aware that only 180 minutes will be played. Anderlecht also have travelling support, so a clearly separated away section and two recognisable sets of supporters’ noise can be expected.

Seats in the stands are disappearing quickly. It is worth securing tickets in good time and checking the precisely marked entrance zone, because access at 3Arena differs depending on the section.

• Gullmarsplan is a major metro, tram and bus interchange located a few minutes away on foot.
• The arena can also be reached via Globen station and on foot from Södermalm in approximately 20 minutes.
• Globen Shopping has around 1,500 parking spaces, while Arenagaraget beneath the stadium has around 650; both areas fill up quickly.
• Bags larger than 40x40x20 cm, bottles, umbrellas, food, drinks and professional cameras are not permitted; bags are inspected at the entrance.

Public transport is a more practical choice than travelling by car. Congestion is expected in the area around the arena, and security checks can slow down entry. Arriving after 18:30 carries a risk of waiting precisely when the warm-up begins and the supporters’ stand fills up.

The exact entrance is marked on the ticket. Visitors should not choose the nearest doors based on the direction from which they arrive, but should follow the section sign. A separate entry arrangement applies to away supporters, so it is useful to arrive earlier and follow the instructions of staff on the southern side of the arena.

Stockholm before and after the match

3Arena is located in Johanneshov, south of central Stockholm, in a large sports and entertainment district next to Avicii Arena and the Globen shopping complex. Södermalm is close enough to reach on foot, while the metro provides a quick return towards the central districts after the match.

The largest wave of departures begins immediately after the final whistle. Supporters who do not need to leave quickly can wait for the initial congestion to decrease. Those who must catch a particular connection should choose their station in advance and should not assume that the nearest metro entrance will always be the fastest.

Ticket sales for this match are ongoing. Because of bag checks, the large number of visitors and the entrance arrangements, the best plan is to be in the stadium area at least one hour before kick-off.
