Free entrance to Trsat Castle for residents of PGC as part of the Frankopan Roads project in cooperation with the City of Rijeka

As of 5 July 2025, residents of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County have free entry to the Trsat Castle in Rijeka. This initiative, arising from the cooperation between the County and the Rijeka Tourist Board, is part of the Frankopan Trails project and aims to bring the local community closer to the rich cultural heritage and the new Interpretation Center.

Trsat Castle: investments and enrichment of the offer to attract visitors to Rijeka

The Rijeka Tourist Board is intensively working on the revitalization of the Trsat Castle, the historical jewel of Kvarner. Through significant infrastructure investments, such as electricity connection and installation of security systems, and enriching the program with events such as "Summer on Gradina", the castle becomes an unavoidable tourist destination. The entrance fee was also introduced for maintenance and further development, with free entry for the citizens of Rijeka.
