From July 14 to 19, Šibenik becomes the European Capital of Contemporary Dance. The 14th Šibenik Dance Festival brings dancers from nine countries to the city's fortresses and squares. Last July, Šibenik was the epicenter of dance art during the 14th Šibenik Dance Festival. Spectacular locations such as the fortresses of St. Michael and Barone came to life with performances by European artists, including the Gauthier Dance Company with the work of Hofesh Shechter. The festival brought a diverse program, workshops and free performances, confirming Šibenik as a key summer cultural destination.
