Arena Wetzlar

Arena Wetzlar is a modern multi-purpose arena in Wetzlar designed for sporting events, concerts, shows and other major events. Depending on the event type and interior configuration, it can accommodate up to approximately 6,000 visitors, with a flexible layout that allows different seating and floor arrangements.

The interior is designed to provide good views of the event from the stands, while spacious foyers and supporting facilities help visitors move efficiently before, during and after events. The arena also includes event boxes and spaces that can support hospitality and other event-related services.

The arena is located at Wolfgang-Kühle-Straße 1, 35576 Wetzlar, Germany, directly beside the railway and bus stations and the FORUM shopping centre. Parking is available in the FORUM car park and at additional parking areas nearby, while the main entrance is easily recognised by its large glass frontage. Wetzlar, a city in the German state of Hesse in central Germany, combines historic character with a well-developed scene of sporting, cultural and entertainment events. Buderus Arena is one of the city's main gathering places for audiences, with a programme that can include concerts, sporting competitions, shows and other major events, while Stadthalle Wetzlar and enwag-Stadion further expand the range of event venues available in the city. Thanks to its compact urban layout, visitors can easily combine a concert or match with restaurants, shopping and sightseeing in the historic centre.

For arriving in and getting around the city, an important role is played by the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), the network within which Wetzlar's local public transport is organised. The main railway station, Bahnhof Wetzlar, together with the adjacent Bahnhof/ZOB bus terminal, is connected by regional rail and bus services with other cities in Hesse and surrounding areas. Buderus Arena is within a short walking distance of the station, while city buses connect Bahnhof/ZOB, the historic centre and other parts of Wetzlar, making access to arenas and city event locations straightforward. For international visitors, connections with Frankfurt Airport, one of Europe's largest air transport hubs, are also important, with onward travel to Wetzlar possible by rail or road.

Before or after an event, it is worth allowing time for Wetzlar's historic old town, known for its stone-paved streets, restored timber-framed houses and numerous smaller squares. The central landmark is Wetzlar Cathedral on Domplatz, while other distinctive sights include Eisenmarkt, Lottehaus and the historic Alte Lahnbrücke. The Lahn River flows alongside the city and offers a pleasant contrast to the busier shopping and event districts, making a walk along the riverbank or through the medieval streets an easy way to turn a concert or sporting event visit into a more complete Wetzlar experience.
