David Geffen Hall

David Geffen Hall is one of the best-known concert halls within New York's Lincoln Center complex and the permanent home of the New York Philharmonic. Following an extensive transformation completed in 2022, its main auditorium, the Wu Tsai Theater, accommodates approximately 2,200 guests. The redesign preserved the building's recognizable exterior while creating a warmer, more intimate interior, bringing audiences closer to the stage and improving sightlines across the different seating levels.

Acoustics were a central part of the redesign, allowing the hall to host orchestral concerts, recitals, opera presentations, film events, and amplified pop and rock performances. Visitors have access to spacious lobby and promenade areas, bars and concessions on several levels, as well as modern accessibility features throughout the venue. The combination of refined acoustics, clear views of the stage, and contemporary visitor facilities makes David Geffen Hall equally suited to major productions and more intimate musical programs.

The venue is located at Lincoln Center Plaza 10, New York, United States, beside Josie Robertson Plaza within the Lincoln Center campus. The main lobby can be reached directly from the plaza, while Lincoln Center's parking garage is accessed from nearby streets and connects to plaza level by elevator. The 66 St–Lincoln Center station is beside the complex on Broadway, making the final walk to the entrance short and straightforward. New York, the city that never slows down, is a global stage for sports, concerts, and spectacular events of every kind. From iconic arenas like Madison Square Garden to major stadiums and modern venues across multiple boroughs, events are spread throughout the city, yet the feeling is always the same: everything is within easy reach and something important is always happening. The rhythm of the streets, the diversity of the crowd, and the energy of the nightlife make New York a natural choice for a memorable trip—whether you’re coming for a big sporting showdown or an evening of top-tier music.

One of the city’s greatest advantages is its connectivity: MTA and the New York City Subway create a dense network of lines that gets you to key locations quickly, supported by extensive bus service and readily available taxis. For train arrivals, Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall are especially convenient, as is Grand Central Terminal, making it easy to build an event into your travel plan. If you’re flying in, the airport choice simplifies route planning: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) serve different parts of the metro area, with frequent and straightforward links toward Manhattan and Brooklyn. For quick trips between Manhattan and parts of New Jersey, PATH is also a useful option, expanding both accommodation reach and transport flexibility.

Since you’re already coming for an event, New York delivers a strong sightseeing “bonus” as well. Walk through Times Square to feel the city’s pulse, take a breather in the greenery of Central Park, or enjoy skyline views along the elevated High Line. For a classic city postcard, there’s Brooklyn Bridge, and a stroll along the Hudson or East River is a perfect way to round out the evening before or after a concert. That combination of world-class entertainment, easy logistics, and iconic landmarks at every turn turns a game or a concert into a complete city experience.
