Den Gra Hal is a historic concert venue distinguished by its industrial character and protected building dating from 1891, originally used for training military horses. Since the 1970s, it has served as one of Christiania’s most important event spaces, with a capacity of up to 1,700 visitors for concerts, theatre performances, fairs and other cultural programmes.
The spacious interior, high ceiling and wooden-beam structure create a striking atmosphere unlike that of a conventional concert hall. Its open layout can be adapted to different productions, so the audience configuration, experience and additional services vary by event. The entrance and venue facilities are accessible to wheelchair users.
The hall is located at Refshalevej 2, Kobenhavn K, Denmark, within the Christiania area. For the final part of the journey, bus 9A to the Prinsessegade stop is a practical option, followed by a walk to the entrance; parking conditions nearby should be checked for the specific event.
