The band then shared footage of the light spectacle on its official channels, bringing to an end a week in which fans had been trying to decipher a series of short videos hinting at possible cities and venues. Although numerous music media outlets directly link the announcement to a 2027 tour, as of September 12 no specific concert dates, stadiums, ticket prices or sales start date had been officially announced.
The message above the Etihad Campus was the clearest signal yet
The drones appeared above Joie Stadium, home of Manchester City's women's team, within the large Etihad Campus sports and entertainment complex in east Manchester. According to ITV News, the formation first displayed the Oasis logo, followed by the date September 14, 2026, and the time 16:00 BST. Radio X, citing reports from Manchester, states that the light display was around 120 metres long and appeared at about 11 PM, just as thousands of visitors were leaving a concert at the neighbouring Co-op Live arena. The location itself immediately fuelled further speculation because the same complex also contains Etihad Stadium, Manchester City's stadium and one of the venues that has repeatedly been linked in recent days with possible Oasis performances. For now, however, it is important to distinguish between what the band has directly confirmed and what is merely being inferred from the promotional campaign: the date and time of the announcement have been confirmed, while the list of concerts has not yet been officially presented.
Manchester holds a special place in Oasis history, so the choice of location for a promotional move like this could hardly go unnoticed. The group was formed there in the early 1990s, and the city has remained an important part of its identity for decades. During the Live ’25 comeback tour, Oasis played five sold-out concerts at Heaton Park in July 2025, one of the key UK segments of Liam and Noel Gallagher's return to the same stage. The band's official website states that all of those shows were sold out, as were most of the other dates on the tour. That is why every new indication of major concerts in Manchester is of particular interest both to local audiences and to international fans who travelled to the comeback shows in 2025.
Cryptic videos pointed to several European cities
The drone spectacle was the final and, so far, most direct part of a campaign that had been building on social media for several days. It was shortly before the Rock en Seine performance in Paris on August 28, 2009, that the confrontation occurred, after which the concert was cancelled and Noel announced that he was leaving Oasis.
