MUNET Museo Nacional Energia y Tecnologia is a contemporary museum dedicated to energy, science and technology, located in the Second Section of Bosque de Chapultepec. Its architectural concept connects the building with the surrounding landscape, creating a technology park where indoor and outdoor areas form part of the same visitor experience. Rather than functioning as a traditional museum based mainly on displayed objects, MUNET is designed as an interactive space for exploring how energy is generated, transformed and used.
Inside, interactive and multimedia exhibitions explore electricity, fossil fuels, nuclear energy and renewable sources including solar, wind, hydro, geothermal and bioenergy. Immersive experiences combining projections, lighting and spatial sound add a sensory dimension, while educational displays and hands-on activities make the museum suitable for different age groups. Visitor facilities also include lockers, retail and food-service areas, as well as spaces for taking a break during a longer visit.
The museum is located at Av. de los Compositores s/n, Bosque de Chapultepec II Secc, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, Mexico. Drivers can use designated parking access from Av. de los Compositores, with an additional parking entrance from the Periférico side, while a separate pedestrian entrance provides direct access to the museum complex.
