Teatr Roma is one of Warsaw's best-known musical theatres, housed in a building opened in 1936 and distinguished by elements of Neo-Renaissance architecture. Its Main Stage has 999 seats, while the more intimate Nova Stage accommodates around 150 spectators. Roma is particularly associated with large-scale musicals and productions that call for elaborate sets, live music and advanced stage technology.
The audience areas, including the auditorium, foyer, cloakrooms and restrooms, underwent a major renovation designed to provide a modern level of comfort. The air-conditioned main auditorium and technically equipped stage are well suited to demanding musical productions, while the Nova Stage offers a closer and more intimate theatre experience.
The theatre stands in the heart of the city at ul. Nowogrodzka 49, Warsaw, Poland, with the entrance to the Main Stage directly on Nowogrodzka Street. Public parking spaces are available in the surrounding paid parking zone, although finding a free space can be difficult. Centrum metro station and Warszawa Centralna railway station are both about a five-minute walk away, with numerous bus and tram stops also nearby.
