Kursaal Donostia - Complex is one of the most distinctive architectural landmarks of Donostia-San Sebastián, designed by architect Rafael Moneo as two large translucent glass volumes. The complex is configured for congresses, conferences, concerts, film screenings and other cultural events. Its main Auditorium has 1,806 seats, while the Chamber Hall accommodates 624 people, with additional modular rooms providing flexible settings for events of different sizes.
Inside, contemporary technology is combined with the functionality required for demanding productions. The Auditorium is noted for its exceptional acoustics and features a large stage, professional lighting and sound systems, projection equipment and simultaneous interpretation booths. The complex also includes spacious foyers, exhibition and multi-purpose areas, as well as terraces overlooking the sea and the mouth of the Urumea River, making it suitable for events that use several different spaces.
The venue is located beside Zurriola Beach at Zurriola Hiribidea 1, Erkidegoa, Spain. Visitors arriving by car can use the Kursaal car park within the complex, which provides direct access to the congress centre's entrance hall. The main entrances are also easily reached on foot from the seafront avenue and surrounding streets, while broader public transport options for travelling around Donostia-San Sebastián and the Basque Country are covered further down the page.
