STIGA Sports Arena, now known as Volvo CE Arena, is a modern multi-purpose indoor venue in Eskilstuna's Munktellstaden district. Opened in 2017, the complex covers approximately 15,600 m², while its main Hall A accommodates around 3,700 seated spectators for sporting events and approximately 4,000 visitors in a concert configuration. Its large-scale form, brick façades and industrial references reflect the distinctive character of the historic Munktell area.
The interior is designed for quick changes between handball, other indoor sports, concerts, exhibitions and major events. Telescopic stands allow the seating layout and capacity to be adapted, while the compact relationship between the stands and the arena floor creates an engaging atmosphere for both matches and live performances. Visitor facilities include a spacious foyer, cloakroom, lift, restrooms and food-and-drink service points that operate according to the event.
The main entrance is at Arenatorget 1, Eskilstuna, Sweden, with spectators generally entering through entrances 1 and 2 directly from the square. Munktellgaraget is located immediately beside the arena and offers 333 parking spaces as well as electric-vehicle charging, while the Munktellstaden bus stop is also next to the complex.
